Airman found dead near Ramstein identifiedBy Seamus O’Connor - Staff writer
Posted : Friday Apr 4, 2008 6:04:32 EDTThe enlisted airman found dead Sunday morning in woods outside the village of Mackenbach, Germany, near Ramstein Air Base, has been identified.
Airman 1st Class Jayson Wayne Bethell was reported missing by his wife at an undisclosed time, said Darlene Cowsert, a Ramstein spokeswoman. German police and Air Force Security Forces airmen took part in the search for Bethell.
Investigators are currently working to determine the cause of death, Cowsert said. The condition of the body was not disclosed, as the incident is still under investigation, she said.
That doesn't say anything about him being killed, also not the reason, nor that he was black. And it is two years old, got a follow up article to this?
And I looked at both English and German news sites, there's **** all about regular murders of black people in Germany .... cause it doesn't happen

search online,, i know what i know. i dont carry military newsletters and german newspapers of hate crimes in germany against airmen.. to substantiate a random occurrence while i was there.
There's no evidence that he was murdered at all. Perhaps you should just not state falsities without as much as a second thought.
Lets quickly recap though, you said that black men regularly get killed for dating white women, then you were called on it, then you tried to justify it with an article about one guy, who might or might not have been black, dying near an airbase, with absolutely no hint of foul play or the more elaborate scenarios you claimed. Then we all collectively facepalmed. That about right?
@ inimalist
of course.. there was a murder on base where the body was found shoved in rain run off of the curb... it was done by 3 airmen if i recall.. it was messed up b/c the guy killed was going to turn them in for something stupid and minor due to military integrity and they killed him rather then be held responsible...
anyways the same week we were there an officer airmen was on the run b/c he was found to be trafficking drugs...
also all the airmen thought we were CSI or a special combat unit non airmen..
the whole base was like a giant fraternity it was disappointing.

actually, I meant his wife was most likely, but you have outlined several other reasons why we shouldn't think this man was murdered because of his race.

I'd heard the same.what if it were only like 200 black? wouldn't that still be highly disproportionate?
You heard that black people get killed a lot in Germany?
Well, I thinnk if more than 30 were killed that would be disproportionate. However, even if that was the case, that wouldn't make WS right...who is wrong.

I had heard Germany was safe. the security during the world cup seems to be good enough evidence.
I don't think ws is right at all, I'm just saying

That's right. They should be able to discriminate based on any quality--skin color, ethnicity, age, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and so on. If that means that the owner wants to put up a sign that says "NO COLOREDS" or "WHITES ONLY" in front, he should be able to do so.Discuss why you disagree with me. Go.
That's crap. The casino industry in Las Vegas already discriminates...against Americans, of all colors. They prefer immigrants on green cards and proudly publish in the paper about how half their workforce is composed of immigrants.
Immigrants don't join unions. Immogrants don't want to make waves for fear of being deported. Immigrants are easier to manipulate and violate the law with because they are less likely to fight back when abused.
I don't think it's necessary in some cases such as markets that sell, lets say, kosher only kind of objects, foods, etc.
Plus, the tension drives certain groups of ethnicities away from being the minority race of a certain business. It's a physiological thing. I see it all the time here. I enter an Indian store where everyone, even the Indian customers would just stare at me. However, if there was a "indians only" sign on the front of their business, it would just become a social morality problem upon a diverse public, hence creating boycotts and shit.
Bottom line, if you want to be a bigoted scum and discriminate, try not to make it obvious.

I believe privately-owned businesses should only be able to do such things if their business is going for a certain image. For example, the deli that my girlfriend works at tends to hire only Italians or people with some Italian heritage. It's an Italian deli. It makes sense. However, I don't think they should be able to turn people away due to gender or race or sexual preference (not that I think they would).
Discrimination should be reserved for 'do I think this person is going to improve my business through their work.' If you don't think they will, don't hire them.
What're your thoughts, Zeal?
