I think Korra should be able to beat that thing with the Avatar State if she fought smart. Bend the earth underneath it's feet, get in too close to get hit by the cannon, lightning the fuuuuuck out of it, Avatar State Metalbending, maybe bust through the head and take out Kuvira directly.

Actually, a better idea for next week is Korra metalbending the Aang statue out of the ocean, putting it into the mecha-avatar state and going apeshit on Kuvira.

edit: Also Koizilla would beat Kuviratron easily. As would Kaiju Korra or Unavatu. It's too slow.

Bolin might be able to solo it as well if he got close enough to lavabend under it's feet enough.

The mechasuit was made using Zaofu's shell.

Did they mention that? It would make sense considering Opal points out Kuvira removes all the shells/domes from the city sections.

That would actually make sense. They'd need a lot of metal to make it, and those domes are probably very strong so it'd make a good material.

It's implied thus far, I think, but the design of the mechasuit, with its flat overlapping panels, makes it a not-half-bad educated guess.
