Hero High 3: A New World

Gaku felt the electricity flow through his body but he had to withstand it or he would never be able to win against his brother. Gaku shifted the electricity to his hand and reached out clenching the ground stopping himself from flying further. Gaku pushed off his palm flipping himself upright all the electricity was pushed from his body into the ground. Gaku then dusted himself off cracking his neck. "Mr.Brok Ill come back to train against you soon your power is the key to my goal and I need to find my own way of overcoming it fully" "Now you dude i guess its me and you who have to spar lets go." [color=red]Gaku knew nothing about this new guy from what Gaku did he might think he was reckless and has no plan with his attacks but he was just trying to see what Mr.Brok could do before he attacked for real. Learning what your opponent is capable of was important in battle Gaku then readied himself.

Ezra saw Gaku recover from his attack. Impressive, I probably shouldn't underestimate him. From behind his visor, Ezra's eyes narrowed. Through his mind he was running all the possible situations and actions that he knew so far could occur. A straight attack he would dodge, attacking either left or right would allow for an easy counter... He could go to... 'that' place. But hopefully he wouldn't need to use it.

"You first man." Ezra smiled. He could see that initiating the fight would take a while, Gaku obviously wasn't as brash as he thought.
Just... make your move already! Ezra thought impatiently.

Sam stayed to the back of the group, she didn't want to get in the way until finally she decided it was time to speak up. "Well...I can get us all up to the roof of a building if thats what you guys want," she said in a quiet voice. Sam didn't really feel comfortable with Liem as leader, she had never trained with him and didn't get the chance to get to know him while he was at the school. "I never teleported so many at once but if its not too far I'm sure I can manage, just let me know when you are all ready." Sam focused her powers and covered herself with shadow energy and waited for the others to give her permission to do the same to them, she didn't want to invade their personal space with her powers.

--------------------

Zero was about to speak when sher was interrupted by Andew and Gaku. She watched Ezra get ready and join the fight but it seemed both of them were wait for the other to make the first move. Zero let out a sigh, both of them were acting like panzies so it was up to her to start the fight. Zero dashed in between them and jumped preforming a split kicked aimed for both of the boys, her speed was incidable she had only known one person to surpass her speed and that person was the teacher named Jane. (at least I think it was Jane, it's one of Mels characters.)

Ezra's visor blinked with a small arrow pointing to the left. In a split second he twisted his body counter clockwise so that his head barely dipped underneath the kick, facing up. Shes fast! Ezra gritted his teeth together as he kicked off the ground and sailed face up towards Gaku's right. He reached over his head with a hand and gripped onto the ground, before swinging his body around to the right, aiming a potentially painful roundhouse kick to Gaku's stomach. As he did so, he clenched his left hand, preparing himself for the inevitable counter from either Zero or Gaku. I just hope this shield can take whatever they throw...

"I don't have a problem with that whatsoever, Sam," Uriah chirped. "I don't have any kind of fire power and I really doubt that there'll be any Hive-infected up there. Or at least not much. So I'm down for whatever kind of transportation I can get."

"And I just wanna find Naomi," Caleb said. "I'll run through as many infected as I need to, but we gotta save her. So if we can all get a move on, please?"

Simon simply smiled and nodded his head. "Considering I'm not as on top of things as Ben or Julian, I can't say if we have any kind of defense against something that could possibly invade the school via a piping system. So one of us could check on that but what else should be done?"

Benny nodded as well, though she didn't quite feel it. Was this some kind of test? She dismissed the thought with a small exhalation of breath; all of this was already a field test, albeit a serious one. There was no need for a pop quiz now. Just then, Bennu caught herself going off track and tried to adjust.
"Alright," Bennu said, beginning to grow more excited as she turned her mind to additional plans. They already had an idea for cleaning up Club Thunder, and to look into possible invasion routes in the pipes. They still needed a plan to kill the goo, if possible, and actually defend the school. Or was that thinking too small?
"Wait," Bennu started. "I know Strike Force was mobilized and you said they were taking care of this? Where exactly are they?" Bennu thought she already knew what they were doing. The goo had already made another move, and this one was sure to be without the kid gloves. "I barely know what we're dealing with here," Bennu admitted.

"In general, we need more information about this...goo stuff and what's controlling it," Pryce added. "And to have a defensive net set up. If this thing is as dangerous as I think it is, people need to know about it and know what to do if we are attacked. I don't know if Bennu and I can do much more than that, unless we were to, um, try to fight it with others..."

I'm not supposed to be telling you guys any of this but I've been known to break the rules in my day." Simon smiled at the memory of his high school days. How he took the majority of the students from the original school to his Shadow Land dimension when an massive alien invasion was about to take place. He cleared his head and listened to Pryce.

"Hopefully there won't be much, if any, fighting here. I'm all for a good brawl and everything but let's just hope it doesn't come to that. But I like the defensive net thing. Preperation and all that is common sense."

He looked intently at the two students. They were so young. Well, Bennu was so young. He really couldn't tell with Pryce. But they were as new to this as they could be. When it all boiled down to it, they were just tossing ideas around based off of information that they had to figure out by themselves after they broke some rules.

He started thinking to himself that "this is a school. These people came here to learn about their budding abilities. But that isn't just it. This is a dangerous world they live in and all type of freaky stuff happens. We're essentially training them to be government lapdogs. Ben doesn't think that because if he did, he would have never agreed to this setup. Which was royally stupid even though we did need the help.

"But these people were given these abilities for a reason. The world is threathend or a regular basis. We can only do so much. Why not train these newbies to defend their planet. They're already here to learn how to harness their powers."

"Don't count yourselves out, Pryce. Even the small things counts. If this denfensive net thing works out, think of all the people that'll be saved. The Hive won't be able to infect any of us supers and in turn, regular people will be protected from all that extra stuff for as long as we can help. I can see it all now.

"Now keep your chin up and don't ever knock yourself down for having an idea. Especially a good one. Let's get to work."

Liam nodded. "Let's do this quickly. Sam, take them as high as you can, and I'll cover you." The monkey boy tapped his helmet, activating the function the nanomachines had assimilated from DJ's phone. There well several shapes approaching, highlighted in red. "we have hostiles coming our way. I don't wanna put pressure on you, Sam, but we have to move!" The first of them could now be seen, even without the visor. Liam moved towards it slightly, placing himself between it and his team-mates. If they could teleport now, he could catch up to them with no real difficulty. Besides, if what Janet said was true, he would have access to some of her psychic power. It was an opportunity that couldn't be passed up.

Gaku could smell something in the air and shifted to the side dodging Zeros attack. He had to hand it to her she was incredibly fast but he could smell her easy giving that a dragoon could trace someone for 2 months before the smell dissapered. Figuring out where she was is the easy part but he just had to deal with her speed. Ezra's attack got to him but right before the kicked connected Gaku tightened the tiny scales on his stomach acting as a sheild to weaken the damage of his attack. The way the attack was done it did send him skidding back it also helped him judge the amount of strength Ezra was using. Gaku recovered easy and was ready to do an attack of his own. Gaku ran towards Ezra with his fist clintched ready to do a direct punch but when he got close enough he jumped right over Ezra. When he was in the air over Ezra he grabbed his shoulders landing behind him throwing Ezra towards Zero using some of his strength for more speed and distance. But Gaku figured she wouldn't just stand there so he hammer fist the ground sending a slight earthquake towards Zero to try to throw her off balance. Gaku kept himself aware of both of his opponents but he had to figure out more about Ezra's abilities to better prepare when he uses them. He also had to be careful with the girl seeing she had super speed his dragoon speed could really match up so he had to pick his attacks wisely or she could get him. _But the other problem was she probably has more moves up her sleeves good thing he still had his trump card to fall on.

Ezra's foot connected with Gaku, sending him a few meters back but relatively unhurt. Good, should give me enough space to think. Ezra took a quick glance behind him to make sure Zero wasn't coming for him, however this caused him to take his eyes off of Gaku. As he turned back his head towards Gaku, Gaku was already upon him ready to throw a punch. Too slow! Ezra thought has he brought up his arms to block the punch, but then Gaku flew overhead. A bluff? Ezra widened his stance, ready to spin with a kick to Gaku's back when suddenly Gaku grabbed his shoulders Shit! Ezra was lifted up off the ground and flung towards Zero. As he sailed through the air upside-down, he watched Gaku punch the ground. Ezra smiled, realizing the advantage he had, while still sailing through the air, Ezra took a deep breath and thought of water, it's liquidity and characteristics. I must be like the water.
Ezra threw his head back, causing his legs to spin around so he was the right way up. He then reached Zero and landed on her shoulder, his weight relative to that of a feather, only to propel himself towards Gaku again. As he soared towards Gaku, he flicked his back legs up, causing him to do a forward flip. As he did so, he extended out his right leg, using the torque from the flip to increase the damage of his kick. At the same time he relaxed his arms and exhaled. Do it, counter me.

"Ok," Pryce said, nodding. He was getting a bit more comfortable now that he had something to do, and was reasonably sure he wasn't in trouble. But, he reminded himself grimly, other people are trouble, and we need to stop it. Going over what he knew about the...Hive, Pryce realized that New York in particular was in serious trouble. Strike Force was already there, however, and Pryce figured they could take care of it. There real problem was if the Hive moved somewhere else, since it seemed to be targeting Supers.
"The more people know about this," Pryce started thinking aloud, "the safer we'll be. Can you make the announcement to tell people what the Hive is?"

"I think communication is going to be the key here," Bennu cut in. "Someone sees this, they report to a teacher or something, we take care of it." Bennu straightened up and nodded, mostly to herself, before turning to leave. "But for right now, I think me and Pryce can check the water, if we're allowed in."

While looking through Liam’s eyes Janet noticed the infected looking being. Using a bit of her psychic powers a creature of psychic energy appeared next to Liam. It appeared to be a humanoid with spikes piercing out of it’s body. Without warning it took a fighting stance while forming two telekinetic swords.
* Don’t worry Liam. It’s a Nightstalker. It won’t harm you but it won’t fight with you forever either. You’ve got about 15mins to get as far away as possible before it vanishes. *

Dj stood up as he looked down at Leon as he heard him mumble. “Oh trust me buddy, your nothing like him. Now that your semi work listen. Come back to us. The others have gone to find Naomi and I’m not sure they’ll even make it. Their teenagers out on a suicide mission out there without their leader. Now get up and lead your team”

Tracy was closing in one her targets. She was just going to stalk them for now but once the time was right. She’d strike. Finally all over her skills were matched or greater than that of Katt’s.

Sam focused her shadow energy and spread it over the rest if the team, it wasn't as hard as she thought all the training had really paid off, school actually worked, who knew. The group vanished and reapeared on top of a roof from there they could see that the area was a ghost town except for some infected, Sam searched the area to see if she could spot something that would lead them to their target.

---------------
Zero moved to get out of the attacks pathway but she stopped right under Ezra's foot and if that wasn't enough he used her as a spring board. 'Oh hell no, I don't get used as a spring broad' she thought with a grunt. Zero decided it was about time to kick it up just a notch to so these boys their place. Ther two guys were close together and seemed to be focusing on each other, it was a great time to use her new trick. The speedster sprinted as fast she could (which was really damn fast) and circled around the two over and over and over causin a whirlwind, it would stop them from moving so freely and allow her to attack at high speeds. Zero jumped out of the wimd trap and flicked her feline claws out, "I really miss my swords but this will do for now." Zero crouched down like a sprinter then jumped into the whirlwind, she used the wind to pick up more speed as she traveled thtough and swiping at the guys, this would be more effective with swords she thought. Suddenly Zero tripped and got caught in the winds and thrown from the fight sailing up into the air and out of the campus.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
As Sam took some of the team to the rooftop, Caleb turned invisible and quietly slipped threw the door. He was anxious to get to Naomi but he didn't want to alert any Hive-infected to DJ and Leon.
Sure, they probably knew they were in the cabin already, but just to be safe, Caleb wasn't going to take any chances. His training with his nighttime powers made him very adept in stealth. He moved behind and between the buildings, making sure not to make a sound. He already couldn't be seen. He hoped.
Just as he was about to cross another alley, he heard the not so subtle footsteps of the teams would-be ambushers. He pressed up against the wall as much as he could, but it felt like his heart would beat out of his chest. Yeah he was trained for stuff like this, but it didn't mean he didn't get scared and nervous while on missions. The fear was good. He always said to himself and Uriah that the more he was scared, the more dangerous he was because he was super alert.
He counted six infected and three goo-monsters leading the pack. They walked right past the alley and Caleb was relived that they actually couldn't see him. His nerves clamed as well but he remained alert. Waiting until the last infected walked past, Caleb stalked up behind him, placed his hand over it's mouth, grabbed and pulled it's arm behind it's back and pulled him into the alley before he knocked it out with a sleeper hold. He wasn't sure weather or not they should kill the infected humans. The team didn't go over that.
He really didn't want to kill any human, infected or not, because he was hoping that there was a way to save him. Besides, he was pretty sure that the school didn't condone killing people. At least that's what he thought.
He quietly took out another two before one of the remaining turned and saw the fourth being dragged off by an invisible force. Caleb slammed his hostage up against the wall, knocking him out, and made an invisible staff. He had invisibility on his side and made short work of the last two infected.
When the goo-monsters arrived he had to use his head. He swung his staff and in went sticklily through one of them and actually got stuck in another. The third seemed to take notice of that fact and slithered towards where it looked like the staff originated from. Caleb realized this and made the staff disappear. He then made a giant hammer and slammed it on one of the creatures, who were now just as confused as before.
While the hammer did smash the goo-monster, it reconstituted itself and went back on the defensive. Caleb was making sure not to make a sound so they would hear where he was but he couldn't get rid of them. When they went up against these things before, he'd burned them with his solar powers. It was night and he didn't have fire power so he couldn't fry them. But he could trap them.
He made himself visible and the creatures all came towards him. He smiled cause it worked out just like he planned. As all three goo-monsters were just about to converge on him, he made a medium-sized box and they all splashed into it. He quickly made a covering and saw that they had no way out. He began to shrink the inviso-box and they out what he guess were shreiks for help. He couldn't really tell because the box was slightly sound-proofed. Bonus, he thought to himself as he smiled.
While still shrinking the box, he realized that the goo-monsters weren't just going to disappear. So he just left them there, turned invisible and went on his way.
Trying the mind-link Janet gave them, *Caleb to team. I just had a run in with a Hive group. They didn't put up much of a fight but make sure you guys don't let them scream. I think that may be a way for them to alert others.*
Ezra's leg was about to make contact with Gaku when suddenly his visor starting showing multiple enemies.
Is that the girl? What incredible speed!
Zero was moving so fast that even Ezra's visor couldn't handle the speed and believed there were 4 different Zeros attacking at once. Before Ezra could form a 'what the', a gust of wind, stronger than his kick, grabbed his foot and threw him, sending him tumbling backwards. As the whirlwind picked up in intensity, Ezra's mind kicked into second gear.
Wind. Massive gusts. Must. Find. Current. Exit.
Ezra looked to his right and saw what he desired. He arched his back and spread out his arms, almost imitating a plane, then he angled his body and shot straight out of the whirlwind.
As soon as he exited, Ezra felt the void calling to him. 'Come young Ezra, embrace the darkness.' the voice hissed.
Not now...
Ezra could feel his heart being pulled from his chest and the dark energies forming.
Not. NOW!
Ezra clenched his fist and cleared his mind. Still stunned by the whispers, he fell a good 2 meters upside-down until he came crashing down onto his back, knocking the wind out of him. Ezra looked up just in time to see Zero flying off out of the campus.
Shit I hope she's alright...I must learn how to move at the speed though...
Ezra tilted his head forward and looked at the whirlwind that was beginning to dissipate as Zero wasn't keeping it going. Through it he could see the shadow of Gaku, although he wasn't sure if he was in the whirlwind or if he had escaped as well.
Gaku was ready to counter Ezra's attack with an upward left kick to his calf followed by a spin kick with his right foot. But it seemed Zero had other things in mind he could smell her running in a circle around them creating a whirlwind around them. Gaku watched as Ezra's attack was being canceled as he was being pulled out of the whirlwind. Gaku didn't want the same to happen to him so he used his body weight to resist but knew that wasn't enough. So Gaku transformed his hands into that of a dragon and using his strength pushed his hands underground grabbing hold to part of the earth and a pipe. The strength of the whirlwind picked his feet off the ground but the strength slowly subsided. As it did Gaku turned his hands back to normal and then pulled them out of the ground the whirlwind had finally stopped flowing to reveal him just standing in the middle. He had to give it to her if he was in the middle of an attack like Ezra he wouldn't have had enough time to do what he did to not end up like him. Even though he was about to be blown away he decided to play tough like it was nothing he then smiled with his sharp teeth at Ezra. " That was a nice breeze don't you think Ezra I needed that."
Wraith eyes snapped open as he noticed the outside of the apartment complex had grown silent. Tracy’s violent thrashing about had ended which was a puzzling matter in it’s self. He wasn’t afraid of these beings because they had no way of damaging him. Still he found himself peeking out the window to see the uneasy calmness before his eyes. ” Ashlocke. I want you to go find Tracy. Your feral powers should make it easy”
Ashlocke looked over at Wraith as his brown eyes turned red. “ Let’s get something straight here. I don’t take orders from you. If the rest of the strain wasn’t infected I’d tell you piss off, but I need you just like you need these humans to live. By the way lock the door pretty boy once I leave, and you better take care of Nova and Star.”
As soon as he was out the door a gust of wind slammed it shut causing him to flinch a lightly. Finding Tracy was going to be a bit harder than he expected. It would take him week on end to sort out her scent from that of the infected, the fires and the city in general. [color=green]* This is why I stay in L.A. Place smells like a dump.*
*That's... Pretty cool* Liam admitted, looking at the Nightstalker. But that was all he could say, for the Hive monster had leaped from the darkness. Before it could give off it's terrible incapacitating scream, before the Nightstalker had time to attack, Liam had flipped over it and grabbed it with his armored tail. The monkey boy flung it against the wall, where it splattered into the gooey substance that it was made from. "Sh*t" he muttered, completely forgetting about the radio. "That was a wakeup call for every Hive in the area. Time move, Nightstalker guy... thing. Stay behind me, and make sure nothing follows us." With that, Liam started jumping, running, and climbing his way up the walls of the nearest building. In minutes he had reached the top. Looking around, he could see Sam and the others on a nearby building. Using a combination of his legs and tail, he sprung across the distance and landed with perfect ease, as though he had done nothing more than take a short walk. "We ready to move?" he asked the group. Below, he could hear the distant shrieking of the Hive, as the clustered around their fallen member, trying to find the one responsible for it's death.
"Don't go telling your leader what to do." Leon replied groggily in his sleep. His eyes finally snapped open. He slowly got to his feet, stood steady for a grand total of two seconds, and then collapsed onto his face. He rolled onto his back. "Why do I feel dead?" he asked stupidly, looking around.
Before Dj even had time to react Leon had fallen down. “Well.. true be told most of the team would feel the same way after taking a beating from a crazed Liam like you did.” While he spoke he began to help Leon up. “ Commanding you to do such was the only logical choice.” DJ took a pause and looked Leon in the eye with his classic look. “ You know I need to do some test before you go trying to play cowboy”
"Test away," Leon grunted, holding on to DJ for support. "Liam!" he exclaimed, almost falling over again, looking around as if expecting to find the monkey standing around. "Next time I see him I'm going to shove a shockwave right up his - " He shook his head to clear it. "Where has everyone gone?"
