STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION - Desecration

"Why would you need to? You've got powers and a lightsaber."

"Those things can only get you so far," Galder says. "Skills and knowledge need to go with those things. Otherwise, I'm just a killing machine. A very good one."

"People will pay good money to hire someone talented like that, though."

"A little harder to pull off than you think. I'm a wanted man on a galactic scale. Hard to find jobs in that line of work."

"Well, you do tend to start small wars wherever you go, from what I've seen," Taiza says, shrugging.

"It's a hobby," Galder says.

"Not much of one. Unless you always want to be hunted wherever you go. But hey, who am I to judge? Obviously you can handle yourself when you run into trouble..."

Galder just nods to that one. He thinks back on some of his experiences and what he has done in his time, most of them not pleasant things.

"What will you do after you get your credits for those?"

Taiza shrugs. "Usual stuff. Fix up the ship, pay off anyone who's annoyed with me, spend time in a cantina. I'll have to spend more money than usual fixing my ship this time around."

"I'd offer to lend you a hand but I'm sure you don't entirely want someone like me working on your ship," Galder says.

"Yeah...no offense, Starkiller, but you seem better at destroying things than fixing them."

"None taken..." Galder says, a little put off. "I'm working on it."

"Hey, it's not a big deal. I'm a bit particular about who works on my ship anyway. It's kinda how I make my money, after all," she says.

"So, what do you do next?"

"Yeah, makes sense. I don't know, though. I'm taking what I found back to my group... after that, I'm not sure. I'm looking for someone."

"Yeah? Well, good luck finding him."

You sense that she's not interested in talking much more.

Galder will let it drop there, then.

(sorry, been a bit busy lately)

The remaining time that it takes to get back to Tatooine passes quietly, with no one feeling particularly social, and you find yourself almost relieved when you land on the dusty rock that is that most wretched planet.

"Well, here we are," Taiza comments as she shuts down the power on her ship.

As usual, Galder quietly remembers his past with Tatooine and his training here under Pazol. He does not bring it up.

"Alright," Galder says, grabbing his things and the remains of the Sith holocron. "Looks like we're parting ways. And honestly, I'm surprised you're still alive."

"Hah," Taiza replies, twisting around in her seat. "Thanks. I might be a bit surprised myself."

"Might be a sign that you still have a purpose," Galder says. "At least, as far as us needing your services."
