I've tried to stay away from any spoilers so I can judge the game without any outside influence.
Finally beat the game, and what the f*ck is this shit? Pretty pissed, especially after all the time invested into this series.
Spoiler:
- Why are my choices so limited?- Why did Joker fly away from the battle field? How did Ashely end up on the Normandy?
- What happened to Garrus -and the others- who were with me?
- I can't believe we don't even have a conversation with Harbringer, I expected some huge showdown with him.
- Why can't I chose to disagree with the stupid plot device that is the catalyst? I either follow one of his 3 presented options or die? After spending so much of the series "making a career out of the impossible" having an ending so out of my hands is really stupid.
- Without the Mass Effect relays, don't a lot of people end up getting stranded?
- What the hell was the point of getting my War Assets to 100% including all the different factions like the Krogan, Geth, Asari Commandos etc. when we don't even see them in some major final battle?
- Is it just me, or are there serious flaws with the catalysts reasoning? And christ do I want to kill the little shit.
- Way too many plot holes.
The last half hour of the game just seems lazy, rushed, and stuck together at the last minute. With another 5 months or so of development, and this would have probably been the best game in a very long time.
Up until I finish the Illusive Man scene, it was great (Although the Rannoch and most of Thessia is where it kind of peaks).
