Like if you have natural numbers vs. integers.Naturals are 1,2,3...the counting numbers.Integers are 1,-1,2,-2,3,-3...counting numbers and thier opposites. Both go onto infinity but integers go farther then naturals. Thus one infinity can be more or less then another.

Even accepting that interpretation of infinity you realize that a "lower" infinity is still infinity.

Yes.But its still not the highest form of infinity.I don't even know how this debate started so...I hope I proved me point ha-som

You were arguing that because the mass of the Infinite Book was distributed between two people then neither lifted infinite weight. Which is false, they both lifted an infinite weight.

Also Ultraman (who is = to Superman) lifted it by himself later on.

The Ultraman is better than Kal, plain and simple.

Ok.

Actually applying the rules of "limits" you could derive that one number in essence is greater than another number by the rate at Whig it approaches the limit...

In short black bolt is right and you guys are wrong...
Just because you can't divide by zero doesn't mean you can't make a determination so infinitely close tothat number that it had a usable purpose.. Thus limits, derivatives etc

Half of infinity by necessity is an unknown quantity still less than the original number assuming that the number is approaching the limit of positive infinity and not negative infinity...

i dont see how limits and/or derivatives apply to the fact that half of infinity is still infinity

If it was still canon then you'd see it brought up a lot more in forum debates.

Not being brought up in forum debates does not make something non-canon. Not being in contuinity makes it non-canon. Its not brought up because he rarely uses it. Silver Surfer has displayed psionic abilities does the fact that its rarely discussed mean its non-canon? C'mon don't take the piss 😬

Superman does not have infinite power. 🙄

How about Superman having infinite strength is PIS?

You can have infinitesmals that are both infinite but still discreetly different numbers.

Try applying non standard analysis and the hyperreal system and see where that train of though takes you... Where you can have you discrete infinite yet different numbers...

Look I don't think the writer thought about it in that much detail. Superman does not have infinite strength.

So exactly how much strength Superman has according to you?

enough to struggle trying to pull a planet but not be able to one shot a planet.

Not infinite.

"but, its superman's power meant to be dynamic"🙄

Grant Morrison has a history of writing Superman to uber levels. In the same comic Superman did what the Monitors believed to be impossible: he delivered some of the bleed to Lois, a feat that only the Monitors were supposedly capable of.

it's been removed from his power-set, though, iirc.

He stopped using it or it was removed?

That doesnt mean hes infinite, why are there loads of examples of him not displaying infinite power then? Your saying that he resisted Emperor Jokers powers but why the hell should he do that when he was helpless to resist Eclispo mindcontrol etc

I'm not entirely sure what bleed is but since Lois was involved that might explain, somnetimes CIS boost powers. How powerful are the monitors anyway, didn't I see SBP make one of them shit their pants?

Inconsistency is the name of the game, but just because you have a lower showing does not mean the higher showing never happened, which is the way you'd like it to be.

Monitors got a huge conceptual boost in Final Crisis where it was shown they were transcendental beings, each one capable of becoming a reality eating monster like Mandrakk. Even a weak one (after consuming some of the Bleed) was able to defeat the Spectre and the Radiant.

i thought i said removed.
