No Steve is not, and I'll it say 1000 times. Hell No. I don't give a damn how many feats you put up. MARVEL COMICS>>>>>> over the opinion of what the reader "thinks". FACT is he's peak human. MARVEL states that. Their creation not yours.

hmm, what you seem to be missing here is that it is NOT just the 'readers' opinion', it is also the opinions of dozens of writers who have SAID--in marvel books--that he IS superhuman and who have depicted him as such many times over.

don't try and pin this on 'reader interpretation'. it is the writers' depiction, who are themselves the collective VOICES of marvel, whose opinions and depictions are OK'd by the heads of marvel--that seem to be saying it over and over. 😬

Okay Pr, can we all agree this dude's a trollin mctrollster already?

He just flat out stated he doesn't care about evidence. 😕

who is or isn't trolling is generally up to the moderators.

that said, marvelknight, if you're not going to debate following the rules of the forum, then you probably shouldn't be debating at all.

Yes thank you for that. I'm pretty sure that Brubaker said hes superhuman but I really don't think this is as clear cut as you're making it.

Hell I think Cap even said on panel he used to have superhuman strength.

Don't come at will this? What is this nonsense? Now it's a ****ing rule that Steve is superhuman Now?!?!?! How ****ing desperate are these people?!

I'm not trolling, I'm stating facts. I DO NOT consider Steve to be superhuman, PERIOD. And I'll never consider it in this life time.

Are you ****ing serious? If that's the case Batman is near superhuman. I'm not agreeing a damn rule about a character, when Marvel clearly states that Steve is peak human.

Peak of human potential.

Not the same thing as "peak human".

First of all: Calm the f*ck down.

Second: I didn't state it was a rule. What IS a rule is that we go by the comics themselves and the average portrayals. People like Batman, Cap, even Cyclops have done things no human should be capable of, and yet they're still defined as being human at times.

It's comics.

No they don't, if it were that clear we wouldn't have such a hugh divide in opinion would we mr sensible?

Now knock your nonsense on the head son

Hawkeye can be considered super human if we go by showings. As Pr stated, the discussion shouldn't be about the definitions and powersets but about the actual characters -as they are displayed in books-.

First of all: I'll calm the f*ck down when I'm good and god damn ready. Do not ever talk down to me again. That's the end of that.

So it's comics. That explains all the superhuman feats Steve has then. Because I'm not considering nothing else.

If you behaved yourself I wouldn't have to. Don't push it.

In short, yes. We take people at their average portrayal, not some term that gets stuck on a handbook or a website.

Bro, calm down.

Yea but that doesn't neccesarily prove that a street leveler is superhuman.

To be fair I can see why hes getting kinda irritated, you have a tendency just to decide on shit. Hes had to put up with lots of trolling and abuse in this thread and then you come along and just suddenly decide that Pre-Crisis Batman feats aren't allowed.

He could express his point more politely though but I can see wheres hes coming from.

Look, you are NOT talking down to me regardless. I'm making this clear now. You want respect then you give it.

Again if that's the case Batman is near superhuman...

What does it matter what you consider him to be?

He runs at 60 miles per hour, easily heals from gunshot wounds to the head, doesn't produce lactic acids and casually bench presses 1000lbs.
Other streets can't and don't do that.

Clearly Marvel and just about every Captain America writer view that as being the peak of human potential.

You are denying facts because they either butt hurt your argument or you just don't know anything about the characters concerned.

I wonder what the word for that is?

No. You earn it. Consider yourself warned.

We can leave it at that if you want.
