USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 4- The Hunt in the Hills

Talin does not stop moving and goes straight for the next Dunlending (J), giving him a whack to the leg to bring him down to Talin's height then finishing him off with a blow to the neck.

Ok, I think we can indeed call it finished there, as both Menelacar and Talin roll high, which finishes their foes. Anglomir can account for both of the other two

Remember this is all relevant for your experience claims- post it up in the Deeds thread now or it may get forgotten!

Well... they are dead, but not all of you are in good shape.

Yes, Menelacar needs some attention!

Well you can bind bleeding in an action to reduce it by one point, which in your case at least doubles your time still standing...

Yup! Well I'll do that at least. If anyone can give me treatment it'd be appreciated!

In fact binding a second point of bleeding can be done at the end of a fight so you will be ok.

Though if you ever take a lot of bleeding at once, then you REALLY need someone around who can close wounds!

Don't we have anyone?

I think Ellothiel can, if she posts...

Can Lacharon see to his own wounded/semi-severed leg? He has some Herbalism skill I think, or would an animist be necessary?

It was only one point for the bleeding., so that's fine. The -10 activity injury lingers until you get treatment, though. Herbalism is great if you have herbs that deal with injuries!

Herbs...that's that thing we earlier decided against finding, right?

I thought we had some. If not we can go gathering some shortly.

Hmm, I think we are going to need a thread reminding us all of what you are carrying to keep track of this stuff! Who wants to go find what herbs you had?

Meanwhile... I guess you want a look at the Dunlending camp?

Ok, so, I'll keep this quick I think.

Lacharon spends a day Foraging for Herbs. He rolls a 65 on his die roll, giving him an 82. Ideally, it's best to beat 100 on these rolls but that's often pretty hard at low level. He gets enough with a roll like that to get enough herbs to make something to stop Menelacar's leg wound turning bad, though it is a Herbalism roll to prepare it. He also gets just a single dose of enough stuff (I have the names somewhere, but will need to scour the rulebook which is insanely badly organised) to make a batch of stuff that restores Hits (you can;t use them mid-combat! No healing ptions really in LOTR. You use it between fights).

Now, a lot of this is down to time factoring. Lacharon could make those Herbalism rolls. Or, he could spend the evening making Weather Watching and Foraging rolls to sort out a better campsite for you guys. Remember, successful rolls get you xp!

Ideally, of course, you'd get Ellothiel to do the Herbalism...

New thread up to keep track of equipment!

As it is, I think a decent night's rest will help these injuries for now... so long as no more pressure goes on them!

That thread sounds like a terrific idea. I could have sworn it was between finding a camp and herbs and we choose camp.

Ideally I guess I'd keep (better) notes, but I think I'm too unorganized.

Ok, after my recent essay writing sabbatical, back to business!

Get posting in the equipment thread, folks! We'll deal with your injuries later. I'll probably start modelling money accurately once we have the equipment thread going, as well; you can pick up some small cash from killing bad guys.

It's a pretty rough camp, this, but they do have tents and possessions and what-not.

Anything interesting or of value?

Just one thing- they have maps!

Excellent! Have a look, then I suggest getting them to Farael.
