Hmm! A month was more than a little bit! Quick role call- who's still up here? We're actually nearly done on this mini-sode. You just need to find the orcs and that's it.

Well, if I remember correctly, Orcs arn't exactly subtle creatures, we could go to the camps, and as the are high up, survey the surrounding countryside for signs or orc destruction? Large amounts of felled trees (if there are any, which I doubt) or amounts of slaughtered animals and stuff like that

Well with no ranger I have to default back to other ways of ensuring you find them from here.

If there were obvious signs of destruction you would have found them a while ago- the disappearing livestock was the best clue there, but it seems they were hiding the slaughtered animals.

(Because Orcs are actually just a tad more wily than you might think. More so than Dunlendings).

Anglomir is still around! We really do need a Ranger. I'll go about prodding people from Crewlifornia maybe.

Ok, so, thinking about Orcs- what are you going to be looking for?

Damage to the environment, maybe? They might be wily but they still need to get wood for fires and they've probably trampled the ground in some places where they've been going back and forth.

Ground trampling = tracking = likely a Ranger's job, unless someone else has the skill.

I think we covered this before- what do you know about Orcs that is quite important?

They only come out at night due to aversion to light, if it can be helped.

So they would need somewhere to hide during the day, and arn't the downs rather open? Need to look for a cave or something.

Indeed! Orcs don't camp in the open!

Welp, lets go cave hunting.

Yeah, somehow it didn't click that they wouldn't just be pitching tents out in broad daylight...

Do we know where caves might be in this area?

You do not, but with the Dunlending map you have a much more precise set oif areas to search.

Perfect! So it narrows things down for us.

Also- you asked awhile ago, but Talin is from Moria, which I believe is still going strong around this time period.

Do we want to just go as one group? Our party has shrunk again, probably not going to split up this time.

Now to pop off and figure out what my equipment is.

I also like how we've had to come full circle back to caves... We figured that out on like page 8...
