USH'S LORD OF THE RINGS GAME PART 4- The Hunt in the Hills

What would you like to look at them for (he asked, vaguely hoping other players will contribute...)?

There Menelacar also hopes those who have played the game longer will remember the relevant details to look for.

Apparently not! Menelacar will study the maps. What is on there? Any sign of plans for invasion, or bases, or the like?

Arn't we looking for evidence that Orc are using the Downs as a path into the country?

(He says vaguely as he emerges from the woodwork)

Yay! And just as I am back into the swing of things too!

Yes, finding evidence of Orc habitation in the Downs would, if not prove, then strongly suggest that the idea they are nesting in there (and so launching attacks from here) is correct.

These plans do not have huge invasion lines on, no. But... they have been marked with where this Dunlending party has been staying over the last few weeks.

Would it be possible that they would've stayed with Orcs?

'Stayed with' may be overdoing it. But the Dunlendings are aiding the Angmar Orcs and they've been known to co-ordinate together before- and neither side are ones that get much done by written communication. They'd have to sort stuff in person.

Well it seems that we check out these past camps and see what we can find - hopefully evidence that Orcs are around!

That would indeed seem a plan!

They've mostly been at the higher, rocky areas. Not easy to stay out there, long term. Anything in particular you will be searching for?

Whatever we can find that is Orcy, it would seem, tracks would be useful but tricky on rocky ground.

Yes indeed- you need a Ranger for that kind of caper.

Maybe we could lure the Orcs into the Dunlending camp? The Orcs most likely know that the camp has been there, if the Dunlendings have been around for awhile.

Could be a plan - although we are few in number. Do we have anyone who has ranger type skills?

Lacharon?

Indeed, someone will need to poke Bardock for that approach...

This camp is rudimentary and temporary. You doubt anyone else knows of it.

Meaning the Orcs would not know specifically of the camp, just that the Dunlendings were in the area?

Or care. Orcs aren't great team players.

Is Bardock still there?

True. So using the camp for anything else aside from stealing supplies is pretty pointless.

I'll jab Bardock.

Hmm, I'll give this a little bit more and then try to find a way on for you guys regardless.
