She was stated to be 4x "baseline," not knowing what the baseline used for the calculation the statement becomes ambiguous. It was however stated in the same issue (on the next page I think) that she wasn't superhuman in any area, so we know that the most her 4x baseline could possibly is peak human.

No, Slade said he stopped for a second and that's how he tranq'ed him. That is the only time that Slade hitting Impulse could be construed as a legitimate speed feat... and it was Jericho in Slade's body.

Again, I'm not arguing that he'd use that tactic, I'm disagreeing with the notion that even if he did, Slade would be able to shoot him before Alex can activate his powers.

Pay attention, I'm not defending the notion that he'd use that tactic. Again, look at page one. I'm disagreeing with the claim that in a quick-draw scenario Slade would be able to kill Alex before he could activate his powers.

Actually, from what I've read, they go about a little under Mach 4 or 4000 FEET per second or 1212 m/s.

He doesnt have to kill Havock before havock activates his power. He has to kill Havoc before Havoc can think what to do, choose the attack he wants to beat DS with, activate his power, use his power and hit DS with the blast. DS does all of them instantly meaning he'd have plenty of time to kill Havoc before Havoc's attack kills him.. Not every speed feat Slade has is BS. Just a few of them. The rest are good enough to fight Spider-Man on an even plane at least. Some are better.

And that staff canon has busted GL shields among other things. He really is a much better fighter than Havok, so why shouldn't that factor into his winning? The man is a trained assassin, one of the best fighters in the DCU, and a known cape-buster.

So why is Havok of all people the guy who's suddenly out of the Terminator's league? 😬

Just like they keep ignoring that I'm not arguing that Havok will use that tactic...I was just responding to the notion that even if he did, Slade would be able to kill him before he can activate the power.
