But not for those who he tries to convince. 🙁

This assumes He even cares to convince, to begin with. It's possible that the "maker" doesn't care about any of these things we concern outselves with. Maybe he's just having fun

I mean whatever you experience, it'll never be questioned that you experienced what you did.
But would what goes on in your head will be shown to be just that, Im pretty sure....and you'd certainly not expect to be taken seriously when trying to convince us otherwise, if they things you scream are there (understandably so, as you'd be absolutely genuinely convinced by the hallucinations that you+the LSD would generate.)....but they aren't physically there.

I agree that you can think of it as anything you want and I'll still know, beyond any doubt, that it was God, as I explained earlier.

Theres no proof that a god made those laws.
In fact the very likely negate his existence.
The laws of science for example.

Just the opposite is true: there's no proof that they came from anything except a thinking agent as it's all very arbitrary depending how you think about it it.

So your god is a Deist/Prime causer God then, basically?

Watch that vid.
YouTube video
Shes a trifle smug in her presentation for my liking, but it takes away nothing from what shes saying.

There no proof that they did either.

Which takes us back to the thread title, again.

No, but that's just one way I approach God with atheists. Is there any other way?

HAAAA! Faith......HAAAAAA!

More like a very persistent nagging voice....Very persistent.
The experience that made me a firm believer was more like things being revealed to me. Something pretty extreme happened to me, something that, according to a doctor, should have killed me. I thought nothing of it at the time, wrote it off to me being as tough as nails. It wasn't until my Grandma's pastor visited me in the ICU and broke it down for me that I opened my eyes.

So yeah, God or Jesus did not speak to me, it was more like after the pastor spoke to me and I thought about it, Jesus was looking down at me like this:

You might have been more open to interpretation, at that point: I could have told you it was the TFSM and I would have been right. 😛

So you had a perfectly feasible and sufficient explanation, and threw it away for belief in "god saved you"?

Your story still sounds like internal issue, cant be taken as proof, Im afraid.
Sorry man.

If you knew the details, you'd agree that my "tough as nails" explanation was shit. I'm not Wolverine.

It's like the Pastor talked to me, I thought about it a while, and I was suddenly hit with realization. I could "feel" God's presence all of a sudden. I couldn't hear him, couldn't see him, but I knew he was there and that it was because of his intervention that I was still alive.

Yeah, very similar for me. I went from, basically, an apatheist to a believer in a God that does a awesome thing for his spiritual children every once in a blue moon.

What I'd like to see is this evidence that explains where the laws came from that govern the universe...much less the universe itself.

Not but frail people have survived tough shit.

EX: People might fall from the same height in a parachute jump where the chute didnt open, that kill everyone else....just cause the survivor was relaxed/unconscious when he fell, resulting in the impact having a different shock effect on impact...

People survive crazy shit, then can drown in an inch of water.
Or break their neck when they sustain some seemingly minor physical incursion... Go figure.
No mans toughness is static.

So its quite false in deed to assume that the reason was ONLY "Either god exists or youre wolverine."

I mean I cant prove that you are or are not Wolverine, but I think its as likely as god actively saving you...IE highly unlikely.

Wolverine was a character created by man, revered all over, yet few can agree which version of Wolverine is the true Wolverine, and he cannot be proven to exist, yet fanboys war about it..

So the similarity in that case to the god myth is bang on.

Well, before all that happened, I believed in God, but I pretty much blew him off. It was after that I recognized his glory.

Better late than never I guess.

thoughts

You can not prove God

but you cant?
You can not prove that Earth is not the center of the universe
we rotate around the sun 😬
but you can? wow
You can not prove that we have no greater purpose
like what for example?[QUOTE] You can not prove that there is life in space[QUOTE] its not as farfetched as an invisible sky man-ninja ...but no i cant

the rest is too much BS... to much to fit anyways now that im posting on ps3

Alternate origin for the universe?

Maybe its just fallout from another Multiverse.

Far fetched? Not as far fetched as Religious claims.
Especially when we get into Infinite regression.
