That's completely irrelevant as we get to see the bullet streak across the screen. 🙂 No matter how much you protest or think of ways to get out of a "de-powering" of you idea on Hit Girl, you cannot use anything outside of onscreen feats: what we see is what we get. If she dodged a ballistc traveling at 100fps, she dodged a ballistic traveling at 100fps. There is no other interpretation other than a direct one.
It's the same as a blaster bolt: blaster bolts have a range of a little less than 60Mph all the way up to 2 or 3 Km/s. Generally, we accept the "pistol" or medium rifle versions which range between 150-300 Mph.

In movies that are based here on Earth, in modern times with modern weaponry (Die Hard, Lethal Weapon, Kick Ass, Desperado, etc), bullets travel as fast as they do in real life. They do not travel 1150 fps in one movie, then 250 fps in another. In real life, 9mm bullets travel between 1000 and 1500 fps. Therefore in this matchup, they travel just as fast.
All of that is irrelevent to what is actually seen onscreen. If the bullet traveled at 100mph, it traveled at 100 mph. Movie-screen feats only in the MVF. And, yes, they do travel at different speeds in different movies. The bullet Wesley Gibson fired at the very end was an extremely high velocity round: much higher than what we have, now...during the sequences that are slowed down, everything seems stopped while the bullet is moving.
No matter how much your protest and complain, you will have to deal with the facts of the film.
If you weren't so worried about her feat being trivialized by really slow bullets, it wouldn't matter. You know my estimations are in the ballpark and you can't stand the fact that Hit Girl is going to be made less awesome than you think she is. If you don't think something like a frame by frame comparison can't be done...then just take a look at the frame by frames done to calculate blaster bolt speed: you seemed rather happy to have those admitted to threads as evidence when it suited your side against the Star Wars peeps. You cannot pick and choose which on-screen actions you will accept and which ones you will not.

You're right about the box.The box is small, look at that pic in comparison to the wires. It's not much of a target.
You're insane about the "30 feet" away, look how tall that sign is and look how small McClane looks in the shot. He's MUCH further away than just 30-odd feet, which is nothing.
It's a kick-ass (get it?) shot, especially with a snubnose. Deal with it, MR. Idownplaymcclaneateverychance
I say 30-40 feet is about right. Other than that, I agree with the rest.
