Harry Potter vs Army of the Dead

Harry, Snape, Voldemort and Dumbledore are about to have an epic fight in the school when the Army of the Dead attacks. Do they win?

Yes.

Lol no.

Why not?

Because the Army of the Dead is made up off hundreds of invulnerable ghosts.

Shit, I thought Army of the Dead meant Army of Darkness.

OK, so more LOTR bs. Ghosts, eh? Any weaknesses, or are they literally invulnerable?

Only the sword Narsil is useful against them.

are there any spells that can do any harm to the army of the dead

Then if that is their only weakness, why start this thread? No one can win against that.

The wizards escape easily, but no, they do not win.

^ lolz

Yeah, unless the Wizards call Ghostbusters, they wont win, and will die like bitches.

No matter how far they run, or apparate, they have to sleep, eat, or at least take a dump at some point, they would have to apparate every 5 minutes to avoid the Dead. Especially when they can just spread out.

Can the ghosts harm intangible wizards?

Yes.

Apparating off of the playing field is an instant forfeit. I thought we covered this in other threads.

Wait, so if a teleporter can jump anywhere they want (Jumper, Wizards, etc), they can't? That's limiting their powers. That's like me saying "Hey, in this thread, a Jedi can only use the force this much", or "Preston can only use Gun Kata this much."

Porting anywhere anytime is a huge wizard power. You mentioned it (Can't apparate anywhere anytime) , I said essentially the same as I just did, you agreed, remember?

Yes.
Then unless it's a LOTR character with the sword mentioned, no movie character ever has a chance here.

Unless.....The wizards apparate into the room of requirement. Doubtful the ghosts would be able to find it.

Spite.

The only way I can see the wizards having a chance against the army of the dead is if Voldemort has a Basilisk with him. Gaze into it's eyes and even a ghost will petrify. Nearly Headless Nick was a victim to this in Chamber of Secrets. Although that Basilisk petrified people one at a time so I can't tell if it can actually affect multiple beings at once. Heck, it's uncertain if it'll even affect an entire army.

Btw, why can't magic harm ghosts? My memory of watching the Order of the Phoenix is a little fuzzy but wasn't a house ghost scared of Dumbledore casting a spell on him that would've made him disappear or something?

There it is. Wizards win.

You can't apply the same rules of the Harry Potter-verse ghosts to the LoTR ghosts.

That's like saying Slimer and the ghosts from 13 Ghosts are the same and act the same.
