The Room of Requirement appears when the wizard greatly needs it. I'd say an army of the dead knocking on their door falls under this.

Let them. They aren't finding the room of requirement, dude, they aren't wizards.

The wizards can't beat the Army of the dead (No one can), but they can easily escape.

So they hide... Yep, still a loss in my book.

Water can be conjured with a wand. Food? Can't be conjured, but Dumbledore made food appear out of thin air in the great hall.

The food was already made and prepared by the House Elves. Dumbledore didn't really make the food appear out of thin air , but made it "teleport" for lack of a better word.

I didn't even see that or else I would have gotten that pwn.

The Room of Requirement is a secret room within Hogwarts that only appears when a person is in great need of it. The room then transforms itself into whatever the witch or wizard needs it to be at that moment in time.

So if the wizard needs the sword Aragorn used on the Army of the dead, it'll be there.

If the wizard needs a portkey to McDonalds, it'll be there.

See how that works?

Nah, they're INSIDE the designated battleground. The room of requirement is inside Hogwarts.

Have a nice day.

Well they still get their asses beat then.

Zero proof that apparating, or any other kind of girly "running away constantly" tactic will save them.

The ghosts could simply force the Wizards into a retreat for long enough to wait for them to die of old age, too. 🙂

Nah, what I just said.

Nah... What I just said.

I don't think that is how it works. If it were that easy Harry could have used the room to find all the horcruxes. Yet, he didn't (except for the one hidden in the room). In fact the room is never shown to fetch a very specific item.

Ha...!! 🙂

Actually that's exactly how it works. Those are Hermione's exact words as they enter the room. And it so happens that the room is equipped with all they need for their training.

So.....The sword is there. Dumbledore grabs the sword, apparates out of the room, goes intangible, flies around, casts Oppugno on the sword, and the sword attacks the Army while Dumbledore is far out of it's reach.

Wizards win.

You didn't read what I said... Sure it got the items they needed, but it has never been shown to bring forth a singular, one of a kind item. Like Gryyfindor's sword or one of Voldemort's horcruxes. It seems to create rather than bring. I mean it doesn't even "fetch" food, but instead opens a passage way to such a place.

...at the "Whos 1st to get killed" competition, maybe.

Cant kill those ghosts, who are themselves intangible.

But the ghosts can kill everything. 🙂
Seriously It look like an episode of 'Superjail!' in there once the Ghosts are done killing....

I mean how would Potter even see the ghosts when in invisimode..?

What a slaughter...!!

Hermione: "The Room of requirement only appears when a person has real need of it. And it is always equipped with the seekers needs."

Direct quote from the movie. So, whatever the Wizards need to defeat the Army will be there, whether it's a magical sword, a special spell, or a ribbed condom.

Except that a release from obligation is the only thing that can allow to ghosts to go on from being ghosts.

And no HP wizard can do that....

Der wizards ist kaput!!!

Release from obligation, eh? K, who did that in LOTR? And why was it this person? Why was he/she qualified?

Clear exageration. Otherwise every single wizard who knows how to locate this room are the biggest dumb asses ever. And her statement is proven wrong as it is not "equipped" with food.

And once again I point out that it creates or holds it does not bring. So I see no reason why it would "fetch" said sword, unless you have a specific example of it doing so to such a singular item.

Because he was heir to the Kingdom of Gondor.

Indeed.

Anyways, I read the wikipage on the Room of Requirement, and isnt it true that it can NOT make food? Or water? It breaks some rule or something.

Yup, food specifically cannot be conjured or created according to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration.

Neither can love btw. 😍

Aragorn, son of Arathorn, Elessar the Elfstone, Isildurs Heir and rightful High King of Gondor and Arnor.

His ancestor Isildur cursed them when they ran away from the War of the Last Alliance. He cursed them to never rest until they had fulfilled their obligation to the King of Gondor. Aragorn called on them to fight the armies of Mordor attacking Minas Tirith. He was qualified as the rightful King of Gondor, being the only one who could weild the shards of Narsil reforged, and command the Army of the Dead.

+1

Cheers Pwned, nicely summed up.
