Harry Potter vs Army of the Dead

The Room of Requirement is a secret room within Hogwarts that only appears when a person is in great need of it. The room then transforms itself into whatever the witch or wizard needs it to be at that moment in time.

So if the wizard needs the sword Aragorn used on the Army of the dead, it'll be there.

If the wizard needs a portkey to McDonalds, it'll be there.

See how that works?

And like I said pages ago, there is the reason for the crying, you want to give the wizards and only the wizards special rights; allowing them to bring whatever you like into the fight even if it was a weapon/gear not stipulated in the OP.

In short, you want an ace-in-the-hole for when you can't argue a wizard win in any given thread, which is most of the time.

See the social thread to continue the discussion about leaving the battlefield.

Clear exageration. Otherwise every single wizard who knows how to locate this room are the biggest dumb asses ever. And her statement is proven wrong as it is not "equipped" with food.

And once again I point out that it creates or holds it does not bring. So I see no reason why it would "fetch" said sword, unless you have a specific example of it doing so to such a singular item.

Because he was heir to the Kingdom of Gondor.

Afraid not, dude. Direct quote. The room is always, always equipped with the seekers needs. Deal with it. It was shown twice. In OOTP, it had everything Harry and the others needed. Deal.

It would have the sword or another way to defeat the Army.

Nah, it's just that once again I showed a wizard spell/power/attribute that overcomes the odds.

First it's apparating range, now you're on about not allowing summoning spells. What's next?

Except it didn't... Afterall, in OotP it did not contain a way for them to escape Umbridge unnoticed.

You are simply trying to turn the room into some major Dues Ex Machina, fortently it's not.

So until I see some evidence that it can "fetch" singular tiems rather than create stuff, your argument holds no weight.

You're splitting hairs. The Room of requirement provided them with all they needed to train, and exit unnoticed for months. The fact that Umbridge, via magical powers, located the room, is besides the point. All that was required when they found the room. The room provides what the seeker needs upon finding it.

So, yeah.

Then why didnt it have the Sword of Gryffindor?
Why didnt it have something to kill the Basilisk?
Why didnt it have every single Horcrux?
Why didnt it have the Elder Wand?
Why didnt it have the Stone Thingy in the Deathly Hallows?
Why didnt it have a better writing plot for the books?
Why didnt it have 3 copies of "RJs Guide to Debating:Brick Wall Edition!"
Why didnt it give me cookies?

In short, why didnt it have every single thing Harry has needed in the movies?

@Sadako, Being an LOTR ub3r-fanboy pays off sometimes. Thankfully, being the ub3r-fanboy allows me to debate with them in it rationally, instead of "ZOMG GANDALF IS SO AMAZING HE WINZORZ!!1!1!"

You're serious, aren't you. Wow, dude.....

Because they were not IN the room at those times. Geez. Most of the times they were not even in the damn castle.

But it has everything the seeker needs! So it MUST have all those things!

OK let's break it down:

Then why didnt it have the Sword of Gryffindor?..Because the two times Harry needed it (fighting the Basilisk, destroying the locket), he was not in the room. He was not even in the castle for the latter.

Why didnt it have something to kill the Basilisk?....Because the battle did not take place in the room..

Why didnt it have every single Horcrux?
Why didnt it have the Elder Wand?
Why didnt it have the Stone Thingy in the Deathly Hallows?....Because again, Harry was not in the room when he was looking for said items.

Why didnt it have a better writing plot for the books?......Let's see......You really wanna compare this to how many copies of LOTR that has been sold?

Nah, I just threw that in.

But if it had whatever he needed, and not killing Voldemort could end up destroying the world, he needed the room pretty bad, so therefore he could have apparated into it to get whatever he needed.

Hell, Dumbles could have used the room as soon as he found out about the Horcuxes. The room isnt what your chalking it up to be, plain and simple. He cant jsut go to the room expecting to get Narsil/Anduril, he cant even go to the room without the Dead jsut waiting him out, time is on their side.............

K.

You know nothing of the Potter movies. Wizards cannot apparate into Hogwarts. Also, it's not a common room or the great hall, it doesn't even appear on the marauders map.

You're comparing 7 Hocruxes, protected by the strongest dark magic ever, to a sword. Nice.

There's still the fact that the Wizards can go smoke and become intangible.

And Transfiguration, here:

http://harrypotter.wikia.com/wiki/Gamp%27s_Law_of_Elemental_Transfiguration

And vanishing spells.

So you just admit that Harry and the Wizards cant go to the Room of Requirement. They therefore lose this like b*tches.

And im not saying that the sword might not have the sword, but they wont know they need it, they wont be able to use it (Like they have the skill or the body strength) and they sure as hell cant use it to stop even ONE dead soldier. Against these soldiers, they jsut cant win. Time is against them, as is numbers, skill, and sheer damage soak (You have the best soak ever if you cant be hit)

Never said that. If they really need the room, it appears. They enter the room, the ghosts cannot follow. IF it appears, mind you.

And I don't buy that the ghosts can harm them while they are intangible. If so, explain it to me.

Same reason we dont buy that running-away-wizards are any threat if actually intangible.

But they can in fact go intangible. It's shown in TDH.

Then they are no threat.

The Ghosts can also be untangible... so?

Just saying, if they go intangible, the ghosts cannot harm them.

Therefore they've left the battlefield first.

(IE: Pissed their knickers, shat themselves utterly and ran away like little girls)

Victory (again): Army of the dead.

The battlefield is Hogwarts. They can simply stand there in one spot and LOL as the army tries to harm them.
