Lightsnake, arguing law. Very scary."So where were you on the night of the murder?"
"I was arguing how Ragnos pwns Sidious!"
(Cue bailiff restraining LS from leaping over his table to kill the witness)
As LS's dear friend, I would step in:
"On what grounds?"
"Well, um... this one book says Ragnos was the most powerful of the ancient Sith."
"Excellent. And the quotes and books regarding Sidious?"
"They... don't... count?"
(Cue the judge tossing the dumbass witness in jail for contempt of court)
Well, as someone once said:
Listen, the omniscient narrator says the exact words:"Marka Ragnos was the Dark Lord of the Sith - the most powerful of the most powerful."
Yes, 2 definitives. Not to mention later sources mention how he has "immense physical strength and a frightening grasp on the dark side."
Freedon Nadd approaches Exar and mentions that there is "one above [him]" in reference to Marka Ragnos. This is the guy that doesn't seem to take crap from anybody.
...
In JA, his scepter, an integral part of the game's storyline and depicted in the cutscenes, has the power to raze temples and suck force from entire planets, and imbue non-force sensitives with force powers in the hands of a relative weakling like Tavion.
Sorry, it's definitive. The Sith are a martial, power first society.
Do I need to copy and paste the Sith code for you? The last line even says they value power first and foremost. Marka Ragnos was the most powerful of the most powerful. He "ruled the galaxy with an iron fist." Then you have dozens of lines in KotOR supporting his power. You see him crown Exar and Ulic, you see Freedon Nadd admitting his inferiority, you see Naga Sadow and Ludo Kressh bowing before him. You see JA Luke pissing his pants and saying they need the "entire Jedi Academy" to "try" to stop Marka Ragnos.
I don't know why you are talking out of your ass, but the opposition has proved his abilities. No one said they can place exactly how strong he is, but they have shown without question that he has never been depicted with an equal.
Bow to His Might!

This is clearly referencing political aptitude and his status as the reigning Sith leader.
^^ I believe someone else was rather fond of using that interpretation when it came to Sidiousanother character.

Wasn't this Kreia's opinion on the subject?

Yeah, and Palpatine was above Tarkin, who could destroy entire planets while in command of the Death Star.

Good for himhis scepter? 😂
Spoiler:
Palpatine could drain billions of people on his own.

(1) The reference to power is oh-so-clearly political in nature. (2) Ragnos never ruled the galaxy (but Palpatine did!). (3) The lines in KotOR are made by fallible mortals, not omniscient beings, despite what Zampano might have one believe about Kreia's accuracy. (4) Does crowning Exar and Ulic mean much? (5) Luke prefaces that line with "there's no telling how powerful [Ragnos] could be." (6) He's never been depicted with an equal because Palpatine wasn't born in his time. 😂
