If everyone who fights us thinks that if we kill them, we will properly bury them, and thus help them be granted a positive afterlife, they will be more likely to fight, since the worse that could happen is they end up in paradise.
If we painted every single one of our bullets with a mixture of pig's blood, do you think would-be martyrs would still fight our troops? Knowing that being shot would doom them to the bad place of their imaginations?

I imagine they would fight that much harder since you've now sent the people they care about to hell, which is vastly worse that simply killing them.
