i have a question.

if the circle of eternity represents the first people on earth that gained magical power (the first age of magic) then where would cain from i vampire compare to them in terms of power? he existed before magic right?

Yeah, all the new stuff came out yesterday, but in the world of DC it was a pretty crappy week--Demon Knights is the only thing I read.
Ah. Lame.

edit. double post.

Write or wrong, here's my interpretation...

As you said, the Circle of Eternity essentially represents the first age of magic. The first age of rules/order imposed on those with magical power. Cain, however, is a primordial anomaly. He existed before those rules were created, and because of that, he has nothing to govern his power... Think of the Circle of Eternity as the Matrix--as powerful as they are, they still exist in a world based on rules (to some extent.) Cain does not operate under that type of jurisdiction--he can bend the rules to his every whim. Think of him as Neo/the Matrix administrator.

Again, just my opinion based on the scarce info we have at the moment. 🙂

Christ, I hope they don't water down Lobo to Deathstroke's level. srsly

We can be damn sure it won't be drawn well.

Still Liefield, right?

Very different. Did no Comics come out Yesterday? Or am I thinking it's a different day?

Read Suicide Squad. It's a pretty underrated book. Same with Resurrection Man. Both titles are interacting with each other.

Ya. 👇

From the pages in the Owned thread, Lobo looks like Wolverine, surprisingly has feet, and acts WAY too serious.

I like the respect DS is getting. He's basically like Cassandra Cain and Midnighter.

I can't believe Rob used 2 members of Omega Men. Tigorr and Primus. Oh, and Zealot! 😱

I refuse to read Liefield ruin Deathstroke more than this reboot already has.

It certainly wasn't the Lucifer we're used to.

Looks a little different, he still acts the same. In Sandman while talking with Dream we see him darkened out and he looks different, with horns and different style of wings. Is the story taking place many years ago? He still has the same font that Lucifer Morningstar always uses. Could be just the time period of the comic is before Sandman.

I disagree.

its too early to tell, imo.

I didn't get any sort of sophisticated vibe from THIS Lucifer... That's why he didn't seem the same to me.

Preboot Lucifer had a very defined and bold personality. It would be out of character for him to set his sights on something as relatively low-goal as gaining access to Avalon. Plus, talking for that long, giving away motivations and caring about boredom or anything other than his self/freedom?

I mean, it could be that Avalon would serve a greater purpose in some grand scheme, but that would make that depiction of Lucifer a manipulate liar, which previous Lucifer very much was not. He always told the truth, in measures, and was very to the point.

I loved Carey's Lucifer and would rather see it left untouched though, so I'm fine treating DCnU Lucy as a new being with a different agenda, motivations, etc.

So, what do you guys think of the killing of all or most of the lanterns and it's various color corps? It's pretty obvious what is happening. I'm all for it, actually. One lantern per each color would be better.

Red= Atrocitus
Orange= Larfleeze
Yellow=Sinestro
Green= New Guy
and so on.

Nothing in those 3 scans Galan put up counters what we KNOW of Lucifer Morningstar, he has acted like that before! Mainly just for his selfishness and staying entertained. We also know from his appearence in the Demon comic way back when the DCU and Vertigo Universe was the same, he did own souls, which he let known during The Sandman a lot of stuff he did in Hell was just for show and because the demons expected it, not that he really cared about it, like owning souls he thought it was foolish. He has even lost his patience before extremely fast and killed one of his workers in his tower, just for interrupting him (quite a stupid thing a demon would do). He has always wished other realms to join Hell's army and its cause against Heaven, he asked Dream about joining him and Dream told him he knew where Morpheus stood on that topic, which was no. It even gets down to the correct font. It seems this takes place when he ruled Hell by himself.

I can see with most of them yeah, except the Star Sapphires and Indigo Tribe. I'm liking the Indigo Tribe more now since we are shown more of their history and the planet they are on. I think it would be a waste to throw that away. But if it had to come down to just keeping 2, I think it should be the Green Lanterns and Violet Lanterns. Alot of stuff is happening with all the Corps right now thats for sure!

I hate that idea, tbh. I like the Corps, and I don't want them to go anywhere.
