I wasn't even thinking of the higher end cosmic characters and such. Even if you just compare Arthur to some of the more powerful earth-based heroes in pre-Flashpoint continuity, such as: Superman, Flash, Hal, Kyle, John, Alan, Citizen Steel, Power Girl, Dianna, Firestorm, Captain Atom, J'onn, Shazam, Superboy/girl, etc. etc. etc., he was never portrayed remotely near their level on a consistent basis. If you then consider all of the villains/rogues on earth, as well as every space-based hero/baddie in old DC, poor Arthur drops
much further down the power chart.
Point: while it might be cool for fans that Johns thinks so highly of AM, it is a bit confusing to me because he certainly isn't basing his opinion on previously established continuity... But hey, he's Geoff Johns... He can do whatever the phuck he wants.
