Soule's first issue of ST looks pretty good.

Sounds encouraging enough @ Unchained. I just hope they're not going to forget that Superman isn't with Lois in this book.
Don't worry, they'll just write Superman pinning for Lois incredibly hard as they always do. I bet he'll say "she's too good for me" every few issues 😈

Action was decent; Diggle knows his stuff, and he seems to have put together an interesting plot with Luthor. His description of Clark's feelings for Lois was the only thing ooc, imo. Unless of course this isn't in the present day.
I liked it. The art was a nice breath of fresh air as well.
And yeah, Lois/Clark feels were strange. From both of them. That is if this is indeed set in the present and isn't a flashback of sorts. Also, when did Luthor go to jail? I remember seeing him in Action way back when and again in Superman for the H'el on Earth crossover, but I'm drawing a blank as to when he was actually incarcerated. Unless of course, this arc explains it.

I actually don't recall, come to think of it.

They're making Lex to be one smart bastard. Definitely seems more formidable than his Pre-Flashpoint self.
I wouldn't go that far just yet. Preboot Lex was crazy smart.

In terms of feats, he wasn't the smartest man on the planet. I probably wouldn't even put him in the top 5 in the DCU entirely, but in the DCnU, he seems to be the smartest man on the planet.

^Why don't they just make Zatanna a straight up goth chick and be done with it?
Why would she be a goth?

In preboot he definitely was one of the smartest men on the planet, and would easily be top 5, if not top 3. And he still has more impressive feats.

Niles, Ultra Humanite, and TO Morrow are in my top 3. Each having better and consistently better feats throughout their careers. When I said DC entirely, I meant throughout the universe. Brainiac's are also smarter, IMO.

I gathered that was what you meant, and that doesn't change my answer.
I'd choose Luthor over any of those three apart from maybe Morrow.
