DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

nicolla scott confirmed a project for the new relauch, so, yeah, we'll be seeing her.

Also, a female artist will also be working on one of the stories for Shade. Confirmed as well.

On another note, DC does have a lot of diverse characters they are using. Diverse in race, gender, and genres of books. IMO, they have a stronger line of books now.

In the gender area, the relaunch has noticeably less balance than they did beforehand though, which still makes it rather silly of them to try pushing when they can't back it up.

So, I'm looking at the solicts for July: Batgirl, Powergirl, Supergirl, Zatanna,Wonder Woman, Gotham City Sirens, And that's pretty much it.

In the relaunch so far, we have Huntress, Batwoman, Birds of Prey, Batgirl, Batwoman, Vodoo, Catwoman, and Wonder Woman. Seems good to me.

Current Birds of Prey is ongoing. Right now there's more heroines on the main teams as well.

It's really more on the creator's end.

Anyway! I don't mean to be too negative, since when pointed out to them, they *did* decide to do something about it!

Seriously, Prep Man, do you work for DC? Have they kidnapped your family? You're having a 1-man conversation here with a lot of your hype-style promoting.

Just pointing things out is all.

I guess you were right about Batman being de-aged Prep-Man. When the relaunch starts it is supposed to be five years after the first superheroes started showing up. So Batman should be 30 now (assuming he still became Batman at the age of 25), which is like a 10-15 year de-age and leaves him with less experience as a crime fighter then Tim Drake has now. Kind of weird that, I guess if Bruce is 30 now, then Dick gets pushed back to being 18-20... which I don't like.

😂

Maybe he recently bought a major share in the company or in Time Warner.

I could have sworn you said many of the heroes (including Batman) were being deaged. 😮

That's bizarre.

You would think shit like this would cross their collective minds, though...

I honestly didn't think Bruce was getting significantly de-aged because DC said that most of his continuity was remain un-changed and all the important stuff still happened... which doesn't seem even remotely possible now. Also Barbara is supposed to be younger in the new continuity then she was when she was first shot by Joker.

Assuming Tim Drake stated at that age to bvegin with. Tim Drake is getting a massive overhaul. The whole Teen Titans are.

With only five years active as Batman it makes no sense what-so-ever to have Dick, Jason, Tim and Damian all were former as Robins. That's almost one a year a Robin (and is one year a Robin if Stephanie exists in this continuity), and Batman would have had to take on a side-kick the moment he became Batman! Does Bruce not train them at all? And Tim is Red Robin now... so what is the age difference between him and Dick supposed to be? For any of this to even begin to fit together Dick would been to be close to the same age as Bruce when he became Robin... but that is strange to me. In current Batman continuity he met Dick three years into his Batman career and made him train for a year before he was allowed to fight crime... this Batman has been active for five years and had has had four teen side kicks.

This is really confusing me.

What about Cassie?

Brett Booth 😘

In terms of the whole Batman for 5 eyars thing, I think they might put it down to "he was active for years before, but was an urban legend", which creates time for all the Robins etc.

Maybe but they have been pretty adamant that Superman was the first superhero in the new continuity, why go through all that if it is only a technicality?
