There was actually a good reason why Voodoo is a stripper. Very well done, IMO.@ Cogito NOOOOO, don't drop Blackhaws! It's gonna get cancelled. I hear Men of War will be cancelled already. All da books that I like will be cancelled soon. 😠
I get the reasoning behind the stripper act, I just think between that and all the other boobs we've seen it seems like DC is trying to force sexuality. I welcome boobs, I can see it going too far and see sexuality becoming too important. It's just a cause for concern.
Men of War was good. I actually liked that.
Blackhawks...meh. What did you like about it?
Cyber Ninja, baby! I don't know, I like GI Joe kinda stuff. Was one of my favorite cartoons when I was a kid. I'm glad DC is exploring more of this type of world. And I like how they were showcasing cutting edge technology.
Plus, Blackhawks might be running into Deathstroke soon. If you're more of a super-hero kinda guy, then I understand.

I don't want to say that I'm a super-hero kind of guy, thought I do think it's harder for me to get into non-super comics.
I grew up with the super heroes like the JLA and such, so I guess I'm biased towards them. I can immediately identify with them and I know their histories. It's harder for me to get into something like Blackhawks, especially when I don't know what direction it might be headed in.

So I went to one of the local comic stores today to pick up some stuff, and when I got there there was this massive line stretching around the building. Went inside not really interested and there I see Geoff Johns and JT Krul signing autographs, was pretty cool.
...I hate you.

Keep in mind though, it was published in the early 80's- so if you are more of a visual guy, then you may not find it as impressive as the new series seems to be. However, if you're into the undead genre at all, then you'll like it for sure.
I, Vampire was awesome. Was the DCU run this good?
Originally posted by CogitoDoubt it will change your thoughts on the book, but I, Vampire isn't really supposed to link up with the rest of the "new 52". It's intended as more of a stand alone series.
I, Vampire:
Um...I read some people here raving about it before I got to it, and I was actually expecting it to be a really good read. I didn't care for it. It just didn't make sense...doesn't fit with the DC continuity as I see it/want it to be.

That's what I was thinking going in, but then they mentioned Superman, Green Lanterns, and all that. 😬
Originally posted by CogitoYeah I'm not saying it isn't part of the "new 52". Just saying that per the writers, it is going to be more of a self-contained series. For instance, Hal and Superman are still known to the characters in this story, but you aren't going to see them (or any mainstream character(s)) pop in all the time and save the day. Supposedly.

See I don't like that. You've got vampires trying to take over the world, and Superman is supposed to be sipping tea and taking naps in the watchtower? (Assuming there is a watchtower)
If you want a self-contained story, I say make it a self contained story. But hey, that's just me.
