DCU gets remade - all books are #1s, Geoff Johns and Jim Lee on Justice League, more

I'm enjoying Superboy a lot. Same with Batwoman.

Demon Knights continues to be awesome.

Vandal Savage wants to eat a dinosaur! Er, 'dragon' 😉

Shade wasn't bad.

Kind of bummed he bleeds red instead of black shadow matter like he used to. Also... Deathstroke? blegh

Superboy is pretty nice though.

I'd be surprised if that was his actual blood, tbh.

Gail Simone quits Firestorm?

Apparently, Dan Didio is micro-managing to the point that it's really pissing people off.

Grifter #2 was quite enjoyable. It's pacing is that of a TV show and I like the character development thus far.

What Cole did to his brothers gun at the end was clever. Good solid action here.

Deathstroke was good popcorn action fun.

And Static gets a better writer.

Haven't read either of those, tbh.

Anyone read Suicide Squad? Bar Harley's costume, I quite like it.

I liked Superboy but that's about it. My hype for the relaunch is dying fast, but we'll be left with a good Action Comics run 🙂

Anyone read Batman and Robin? Who was the masked vigilante?

I think it was more a case of this being (arguably) the weakest week so far.

If you think that's good...

Grant Morrison somehow involved in/writing new Wonder Woman series.

And he's "bringing back the sex".

It's either going to be brilliant, or piss off every woman reading comics.

Not mutually exclusive.

Skipped a lot of titles this week.

Here's what I've got:

Deathstroke: Ugh. I still hate his armor, he looks ridiculous. Too much action for no reason other than to be action-packed.

Demon Knights: It's a really interesting story. I think they need to back off a touch on the relatively fast paced plot and develop the characters more. As it stands, we have a bunch of characters that we're somewhat familiar with that are thrown together and somewhat working together, but all the backstories and hows and whys of it all are missing.

Frankenstein: It's alright, I guess. I don't think I like Ray Palmer's involvement, as it doesn't really fit his personality (pre-reboot, at least). Could be good.

Green Lantern: Very good. Sinestro is badass as always. He can show up Hal every time and I'd love it.

Mr. Terrific: I actually liked the first issue, so I read the second. It was.. a little weaker. My hopes for this title are down a little.

Suicide Squad: Meh. I don't really care about any of the characters. I guess that's a negative.

Superboy: As I said last issue, I don't really like watching Superboy develop again, since we already did that relatively recently. Otherwise it's a pretty good title, but I'd really like the development to speed up.

I found the second week of #1 releases to be by far the weakest, and so far this second week of #2s is following the pattern.

Lol I like Grant Morrison but the guy has it out for Wonder Woman. 😂
