Darth Malgus vs Sith
Just read Deception and Malgus is a beast. It seems Bioware is preparing him to be the major antagonist of TOR for both the Republic and the Empire.
I wanna know how powerful you guys think he is.
He fights the following:
1. Darth Wyyrlok
2. Darth Krayt
3. Darth Nihl and Darth Talon
4. Count Dooku
5. Darth Vader
Which of these can he defeat?
I'm not entirely sure he can beat any of them. He's shown himself pretty strong, but his main feats are beating a young, not-yet-a-master Satele Shan, and killing Ven Zallow, who doesn't have feats except during his fight with Malgus.
I think he dies at 4.
If he'd lose to Dooku, he'd lose to Krayt first.

Pretty cool. Sending hundreds of people flying is a Starkiller-esque feat, and you say he gets more powerful?
Don't know much about Krayt in terms of Force power but from the sounds of it Malgus has him beat. Also I don't think Dooku has matched that level of raw power but Dooku's high level of skill and superior swordsmanship will probably be enough for a win. He isn't beating Vader though.

He got beat by Satele Shan. However, he's a force beast on the level of someone like Bane. In fact he kinda looks like him and even has the same philosophy.

Krayt can kill by touching someone and using shatterpoints on him. and can self-resurrect from the dead. He catches force lightning bare-handed and can trap people in force illusions. He rarely uses TK, preferring lightning, but Cade did dodge a TK blast from him and the blast shattered the stone behind him.
He seems pretty impressive, but I don't think he will be powerful enough to overcome Dooku who has also displayed incredible raw TK power, and is probably more refined in the art. Dooku is also a master of force lightning and is one of the greatest lightsaber duelist in galactic history.
... And Vader? I think most would agree Vader is too powerful for him. I don't know how good Malgus is with a saber, so he might be defeated by Wyyrlok or Krayt. I believe Krayt and Wyyrlok are powerful enough to at least stand up to him in a force contest and would be able to force a duel on him.

His philosophy is very similar to Bane's but with some key differences.
Both believe in a very Darwinian "survival of the strongest" principal but the difference is that Malgus believes direct conflict is necessary for one's growth and is the best way to serve the Force (he even believes that the Force IS conflict), while Bane believes deception and betrayal are the true weapons of the Sith. Malgus wanted to wage open war on the Jedi and the Republic while Bane wanted to undermine them from the shadows.
Plus Malgus has some sense of honour (such as sparing Aryn Leneer's life). Bane has nothing but contempt for the entire concept of honour.

They count.
Satele has actually fought Malgus twice and seems to have bad luck with him.
Fight 1 she would have been decapitated if her comrade hadn't thrown his lightsabre in time to block Malgus's downstroke which gave her an opening to drop-kick him away (2:49-3:07).

Fight 2 he sliced her lightsabre in half and she blocked it bare-handed. A trooper charged Malgus and set off a grenade in his face. She then defeated him with a Force-push (3:05-4:25).

Don't get me wrong; Satele is awesome, but on both occasions she needed aid to prevail.

No to all three because none of them actually happen in the actual stories.
At NO point in TFUII does Starkiller fight Vader anywhere with trees. His fight with Vader happens in a facility on Kamino. No trees there.
Likewise in the REAL TFU story, the scene where he re-directs (not pulls down) a falling Star Destroyer happens on a huge junkyard, NOT in the middle of a city with skyscrapers as that trailer shows.
The TOR trailers count because they DO happen in the actual stories.
Seriously, just read the TFU novels.

Yeah that was awesome, made even more so by the fact he didn't even break a sweat doing so (it states that he was no more drained from breaking that Skyhook piller than he'd have been from a light run).
