To me it looks like the entire light beam is cracking - flakes of light(?) can even be seen falling from the saber... Which is a complete head scratcher.

Galan, she could have been wear a beskar glove and using the Force at the same time. We have to remember, at the time she was just a Knight not the Grand Master she was later promoted to. If Malgus fought her at Grand Master level, she would kicked his ass while drinking an Irish Car Bomb. Satele is of the Revan bloodline and Revan was one of the most powerful Sith Lords in SW mythos.

The Republic Commando who tried to knife Malgus actually stepped forward when he was encompassed in Force Lightning was taken out of the fight temporarily when he was hit by a Force push. Malgus must have been surprised when he had a non-Force user attacking him without a lightsaber.

Her palms look like regular fabric to me.

And he was more talking about how lightsabers shouldn't crack!

A lightsaber can 'crack' if your focusing the Force directly on the focusing lens and on the crystals. Kinda like a Force EMP. The commando broke up that physical fight. It is a glove yes, but layered with beskar. beskar is the only metal in SW that cannot be punctured by a lightsaber - even augmented by the Force.

The blade shouldn't.

Or she could just be blocking it with the Force. Both Shaak Ti and Starkiller have replicated that.

There's also the stuff that Echani foils are made out of. I think its spelled Cortosis.

Forgot about Cortosis Glentract. The element used on Vibroblades to protect them from being broken in half.

Malgus clears.

Malgus can't even beat Satele.

Dooku and Vader beat Malgus. I see Malgus beating Krayt and the others, however.

It takes four end game characters (all of whom are incredibly powerful) to take down Malgus. And each of these characters are defeating other uber force users such as the Emperor... I don't think it's a stretch to say he is correct here.

These 4 characters could be 4 random Bounty Hunters and in that case Malgus ain't anything.
