Odin VS Galactus

yep. for years i've been saying if they fought it would be a great fight. if anything was 'unjust' it was the way the skyfathers were depicted against the celestials. THAT is what started all this 'skyfathers are leagues below cosmics' nonsense. prior to that event, odin was an absolute beast and his power WAS up there. so, why was the celestial scene so readily accepted, but this showing..... less than accepted?

personally, i think it's great. odin will still likely lose in the end, but he will have made g work for it. no way, based on things they've done, it should have gone any other way.

The only thing I like about this is that it clears up the BS people kept pushing about Odin > Zeus.

Zeus was amped when he hurt Galactus, but at least like Pak said, it can't entirely be summed up by the amp.

WB troll! Care to explain where I'm wrong? Because going by on panel evidence, Odin = Galactus ( and this is Odin without the Destroyer Armor).
WB troll! Care to explain where you're right? Because going by on-panel evidence, Galactus > Odin ( and this Odin tackling Galactus directly isn't anything new).

You blind or reading a different comic? They are facing off as equals! Even Galactus' ARMOR IS SWEATING. 😆

When exactly was it said Galactus was hungry or hadn't eaten in a while? See, both sides can play this game.

Face it, Odin is Galactus' peer in terms of power. The writer even made it clear by stating that just as the rest of the Asgardians are mere pawns, meant to distract Galactus; so to are the "cosmic demons" that Galactus summoned to distract Odin. Why would Galactus bother summoning pawns to distract an opponent he felt was beneath him.

Imagine if Odin really felt annoyed and jumped into the Destroyer Armor and faced off vs Galactus? Big G would be dead in mere minutes.

How do you know Odin in the destroyer armor could kill Galactus in minutes ? We have to see how this entire event plays out before any side starts jumping the gun.

Because as of now, Odin is making Galactus sweat (literally) for a win? I think everyone agrees : Odin inside Destroyer Armor > plain ol' Odin. And if plain ol' Odin is facing off against Galactus as an equal, how much better would Odinforce powered Destroyer do?

Galactus has been knocked on his ass before by the Thing so his hunger level changes everything. While weakened Thor's godblast has sent him off before so once again it depends on his power levels because far less than Odin has knocked him around or injured him. I do agree Odin in the destroyer armor is more formidable but until Odin gets the better of Galactus I am not prepared to say it would give him the power needed to get him the win.

I haven't read the comic that's supposed to come out today. And Ego and DP Tyrant caused Galactus to exert himself. Neither of them have Galactus' feats. Stop fooling yourself.

Cry more! When you pick up the comic pay special attention to how THOR, NOT A SKYFATHER, sends Galactus reeling! 😆

Feats themselves don't determine who is more powerful direct comparisons do. You should know that by now.

Thor's done that before. On-panel. You're not saying anything new.

Trying to recast current mundane events that actually have precedent as being some new revelatory upheaval is retarded. But you go ahead and wring out as much circumspection you can out of... Galactus sweat drops.

That is why I have always put Thor above any Herald. No Herald has the feats Thor have outside of amping and even then....

I'm sure there's context to it. Also I don't get why people think if you win one battle that means you win all battles against that said foe.

DELICIOUS!

I'm sure licking Odin's fictinal bunghole is delicious to you. Thor, among others, has staggered Galactus before. Where were you in 1969?

I agree.

However... Sentry vs Moleculeman?

Don't be so angry Dumb, relax a little. Speaking of the other times Thor has made Galactus cry out like a little girl, they were always excused away as "Galactus was hungry", there is no hunger excuse now. A wounded Thor beats down the Surfer, makes his way to Galactus, and sends him reeling! Eat it. 💃

That's about as clearcut as it gets. With some of these other cases you don't see these characters using their powers to really try and utterly destroy their foes like we did with the Molecule Man. He used his powers to do their best and actually completely eradicated him which didn't stop the Voidtry. That's why he needs to stay dead for awhile he's too formidable.
