This issue was alright I guess. Kind of weak imo. I enjoyed the last issue more personally.
Here's the description of what happens in the battle:
Spoiler:
- Odin and Galactus are having a telepathic battle, they invade each others heads back and forth. They do this for pretty much the entire issue.
- Thor and Surfer fly at each other but then Thor zooms past him at Galactus, and causes him pain.
-Surfer then tackles Thor from behind, smacking him straight into Mars. He then says that the impact hurt even him. Thor claims he didn't feel a thing, strikes him down, and says if Norrin wants to die on Mars, he has no problem killing him on Mars.
My predictions for the last two issues:
Thor's wound afflicts him even more, he starts dying, and the battle with Surfer starts going badly for him but I bet he'll but up a hell of a fight.
Not sure what to expect with Galactus and Odin though. Perhaps a stalemate or they get interrupted and the both of them truly cut loose in #6 as the solicits say they're fighting to the death.
I don't know if it's just the way Coipel draws him but even when he screams out Thor's name in what I assume is rage, he looks like he's sad.

Lol people arguing he couldn't mindrape Sentry/Void for one. Odin's not really known for telepathy and it's not a power that immediately comes to mind when you mention the Odinforce, imo.

Must have missed that, shame. I do remember people -and by that I mean Quanchi- arguing that Odin couldn't use soul based attacks against the Sentry. Quickly switched stances to unwillingness on the All Father's part however.

Why are people like Zop claiming Odin is fighting on even terms with Galactus... there is no blasting, matter manipulation, amping on either part going on.. It's only a TP battle at this point.. So how on earth does Odin fighting Galactus on even terms in a TP battle mean that Marvel views them as equals... WTF :facepalm:

I know you're panicking right now but how in the hell did you come to the exact opposite conclusion of what was portrayed in the comic?
Doubtful seeing as how the injury is causing him pain. Thor might just be coming off tougher than the Surfer or he could be boasting.

I edited my post.. I ask again.. Why on earth are people claiming Odin is fighting Galactus on equal terms and thus Marvel views them as equal in power??? WTF... They are ONLY fighting a TP battle at this time... NO other abilities are being used.... How on earth does a stalemate in a TP battle mean that Marvel views them as equals..

Well, if they fight on even footing on a plane both of them choose to battle on, surely you can see why people would say they're peers to one another, no?
