It's pretty much over at this point. The only thing that can save Team Cosmic is if the Galactus Seed is somehow amping Odin to the point where he can take on Galactus on equal terms.

or are skyfathers low abstract level?

Galactus is what he is, slightly above skyfather level when fully fed. That's it. High end skyfathers, like Odin, are more or less equal to cosmic beings (Tyrant, Aegis, Teneberous, Celestials, etc...) but they are beneath abstracts though.

so a slighty amped zeus making short work of galactus is justified?

And it should be noted that current Zeus would be weaker than normal at base as Athena possesses his lightning bolt. IRCC it was either Pak or Lente who commented on this. I'll post it if I happen to find it.

Hmmm.

Personally, I do feel like Galactus is somewhat weakened from the art alone. He just seems majorly strung out. But looking at showings as a whole, I really don't see why this is seen as such a big deal, especially when this is one writer's take on where Odin and Galactus stand (a take he's mirroring off the early days of the Marvel U). I feel Galactus is more powerful than Odin as a whole, but not to the point where he can easily dismiss Odin. Considering Odin has some of the best, if not the best, Skyfather level feats in Marvel, if he makes Galactus work hard for a victory, I wouldn't see it as jobbing.

Thanos blasted a well fed Galactus with a single shot and forced Galactus to exert energy to break his shields, and I feel Odin is Thanos' significant superior. Really don't see what the issue is, really, tbh.

I feel worse for Surfer though to be honest.

Yeah, I have to read the issue myself, but if a weakened Thor completely humbled Surfer, it should pretty much settle who Marvel (or at least Fraction) feels is the superior.

Interestingly enough, Fraction will be handling Surfer extensively in the near future with his Defenders title post Fear Itself.
