Zan wins. The guy can easily tank sucker punches. McClane needs a woman to turn around to get the drop on her despite having a gun on her at the start of the fight.

Shrugging off elite male specimen's attacks while trying to motivate him is what I call being able to fight and take a punch something McClane can't do.

And his Damage soak is WAY beyond Van Zan.

But McClane is hit way harder and by real men, rather than grunting drama ballerinas who hit very slowly and weakly, and in a telegraphed fashion like Van Zan. And he comes back and kills them all like the boss that he is.
McClane would have killed, cooked and eaten Quinn.
And Van Zan for all his hystrionic grunting and and homoeroticism could not damage Quinn.
But Quinn made Van Zan bleed girl's blood.
Not at all. The luck is a legit character attribute.
McLuck is additional feature to go with McSmarts, McResiliance, McExperience, McCunning, McAsskickingability, a sense of McHumour and the Mcwilltosurvive.
But hey if you wanna gimp away then try to gimp it all you like.

Youre wrong. Plenty of his fights have been stand up fights that would have floored most. Zan can afford to laugh when fighting a man who cant really fight.

Zan no sold a cheapshot. When has McClane no sold a cheapshot like it didn't even faze him.
Also compare the physique of the female who trounced McClane to the man who couldn't even damage Zan with a cheapshot.
It wasn't much of a man handling, judging by the end result.
She couldn't didnt finish him.
And that girl would end Van Zan.
He wouldn't have stood a chance as he is way slower than McClane a punches with big slow pillowy damage lacking lacklusterness and cant damage people as much as people damage him..
