Well judging by what we've seen of his headbutts, just standing there totally unguarded and taking one of his totally ineffective headbutts directly in the face from him would be enough to 'save me', since they don't damage anyone, and anything he'd do would just be loud posing. His grunts and posturing would do nothing to me, and since he is so slow, you'd see anything he was about to try to do to you six months in advance of action. Easily avoided. 🙂

Quinn was almost totally unaffected.
As evidenced by his having to be stopped from going in to end Van Zan when he was shouting threats to kill Van Zan, as well as the fact that Van Zan was the one leaving the fight with blood coming from his mouth for the Quinnwin.

So really, when you look at it, Quinn would probably be a better opponent for John. Zan "no-sold a sucker punch", but Quinn no-sold an entire beatdown and was still pumped for action
