Thats an assumption, Quan.Besides high end whomevers of all descriptions would be sent packing with their arses stretched over there faces horrifically, when faced with firepower of Mary's magnitude.

No, she never went up against any elite warriors, ever. She doesn't have the stomach for this one and loses. I never concede, nina.
He gets blown away while objects knock him in the head.
She has the feats of manipulation.
You said youself. RJ was more of a powerset arguer, and powersets are what you need in a fight like this.
How does a man ever attack a woman who can command the winds like Storm?
How does a man fight a woman with matter manipulation feats that include wind manipulation and the creation of alternate realities where beings worship her?
You argue that amongst this fury Zan pulls a surprise glimmer of rage and punches her head in and this is absurd!
He is a man. Who shot harpoons at dragons and got eaten by one in a grandiose spectacle of self destruction. Was it brave?....sure.
Would Poppins have suffered a similar fate? Hell no.
This is like putting Bruce Lee up against Storm.
I aint gonna stop typing until you understand this.

Nah. Can't see that.
She more likely magics his ass into a chalk drawing of "nasty powerful vicious things in the dark" and lets whatever evil things are in that world murder him viciously.
Then she'd probably victory pee on the drawing then go make tea and crumpets.

"her character would lose" is invalidated by the threadmaker. She went into this, knowing it was a powerset fight, and thus had the intention in this match to defeat Zan. And she will, as per a "KMC dust-up", employ all possible tactics to her advantage to win this fight. "her character would lose" was retconned by the OP at the beginning of the fight because he wanted of the circumstances of the thread to be that way. That is how the thread must be

Wouldn't that involve (the luxury that he doesn't seem to have here) him physically contacting her wrists....? (That are probably strong wrists, all that clinging to flying umbrellas etc)

Where has Van Zan displayed the feats that he can snap wrists with ease. He hit Quinn numerous times and Quinn was still standing, so his strength isn't spectacular, and Mary has never displayed any frailty at any point of the movie. The woman was a horse racer:
YouTube video
Basically this means that (considering she doesn't aerokinetically attack him when she sees him coming at her) as soon as he grabs her wrists and starts to apply unpleasant pressure, her self-preservation instinct will cause her to immediately attack the threat in the most efficient manner possible. She can blast him with gushes of wind, trap him in a another dimension, etc. and any tactic she applies will put Van Zan down, as shown by her powers

She didn't display anything to make me feel her wrists can withstand a Van Zan assault. Quite frankly I fear for her safety.
Well that funny... Van Zan didn't do anything on screen where he looked like he could inflict damage on people.
Yet Mary's Umbrella dangle stamina feat remains.
