Well that still sounds more like "like action Hinata" being perverted than actually stalker.Maybe that's just how I see it.
You don't see how waiting next to your door until you hear his door open so you can spy on him through your door-peeper is stalker'ish?
edit- Don't post at the same time I'm posting Mindset. You're so rude I almost don't even want to rape you anymore.

Well when you put it that way it is a tad stalker'ish. ThoughI see it more as Asian chick cliché being presented with white male fantasy cliché and having to go along with the B-movie trope.

She was so used to seeing her "Black Daddy" naked that she just wanted to see if a white dude "measured" the same. 😉

Hilarious, I invented rape; you're 100 years too young to even challenge me.

Its begging for one with how well its doing.
Sequels are normally fairly sure things when something hit's twice or more it's production budget, preferably 3x.
Right now it's at 1.5x it's budget, and some of that is in countries with fairly low return (China, while certainly kicking in a lot of money, only has 25% go back to the studio rather than the local theaters).
I mean, between China, and Japan? And also Brazil, while we're talking? Yea, it's almost certain to hit the desired 2x, but it's not blowing past the finish line so to speak.

But a movie's profit is usually based on the first weekend's box office takings, specifically Nrth America. So regardless of how well it's doing in other countries will make little difference at all.
From my understanding, theatres buy the rights to play the movies so less royalties go back to the studio after the initial opening weekend.

The first weekend matters more in NA than elsewhere, where the take isn't so frontloaded.
Different countries have different regulations and deals, so worldwide take definitely does matter (and total take does always matter). Also, China did a crazy amount in it's first weekend anyway...
Box Office Mojo's report from 4 days ago:
"Pacific Rim was always expected to do great business in Asia, but few expected it to do this well: the movie opened to an incredible $45.2 million in its first five days in China, which is Warner Bros. biggest opening ever. Overall, the movie took in $53 million this weekend, and its overseas total is now just over $200 million. With Spain, Brazil and (most notably) Japan opening Friday, Pacific Rim should have no problem getting to $300 million by the end of its run."
North of 300mil is no problem, but how far north is the question.
Now another thing that'll help it's sequel odds is Legendary doesn't have any big franchises right now, so PR 2 should be more appetizing to them than it would in general.
