USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

You know if we are going with the escape from roof-top scenario the plan could be to take Merrik and escape so we have time to talk/torture him afterwards. Might even help us from getting shot down if we have problems with the security system. Surely they won't blow up our ships if there is a possibility of killing him.

Also Xavier is going in a dark brown suit mafia style complete with over-sized trench coat and fedora if that's possible since he is part of a crime syndicate 😄

You should be aware that the whole 'get information from Merik' thing might be exceptionally time-sensitive, depending on circumstances. So you need people who can get information very quickly.

Like Rand or Gallador?

Certainly helpful!

Though squeezing it out of Merilk is not necessarily the only way to do this. The name of this story is 'Enemy', on the idea that you have one- do you think Merik is your ultimate enemy?

Definitely not. Currently we're under the assumption that this is Adelmo.

I mean ultimately we do want to kill Merik to send a message don't mess with us, but could we also get the information we want technologically, search his files and such to see if the information he has is stored somewhere. We may want to do that anyways cause ultimately it's kill Merik AND protect our location.

What if we kidnapped Merik? Get to the top floor, then escape with him as our prisoner? We could have all the time in the world then once we're in DEEP SPACE!

Just a thought anyway. All the same, Vic is surrendering his Saber to whoever the hell carries sabers, and will be riding around in his mock wheelchair to make him seem disabled, posing as a business associate of Rand's for the Techno Union!

There is no requirement in-game to kill Merik, indeed. Kidnap has additional difficulties but it's perfectly possible.

So, if Merik is not your ultimate enemy, he must have been in contact with him or her. Technically speaking, you just need to trace that contact. Getting it from Merik is one way of achieving that, but there are others- Xavier is touching on an idea there.

As it is, you've pretty much planned for a Merik-grab plan, so stick with it. I was just pointing out options.

I vote we take him with us. That gives us more time to find out what he's up to, and having him as a hostage may make the escape easier (in terms of people attacking us). We can drop him somewhere, not necessarily still alive, later.

I agree with taking him rather that straight killing. Didn`t we also want to take Eller with us?

Kidnapping Merik would be wiser, I agree. That way we don't have to rip incomplete information out of him and we can take our time figuring out what he knows.

Wiping out his computers is a great idea, Xavier. He may have evidence on there as to who he has been in touch with as well.

Yes, I think we did decide to take Eller. I think we just forgot to say where she was being put.

Could she go with Gallador, as I don`t have a female in my group?

Ok, well, make sure you have a reasonable idea about who is going to be responsible for doing what, because when things kick off I will advance time regardless.

Gallador can be in charge of Eller so long as he does not creep her out. Her clairvoyance may be handy for gambling.

And responsible for doing what in terms of who is going to go grab the ships and pick up and who is going to get control of Merik/wipe out his thugs on the top floor/shut down the defenses?

Well we are going to need someone with both technical skills and the ability to sneak to shut down the defenses, sounds like a good task for Dak to do.

Someone is going to have to fly the ships to pick you guys up.

That will probably be Xavier flying his ship, Con flying a Azral's ship, and Galder flying his own. That way as soon as we snatch everyone we can immediately take off for space.

If we are going to attempt to search and delete the contents of Merrik's computer we should either take it with us if we can or Azral will need to wipe it off there since he is tied with Xavier for the best Fix-It pool(Which is why I didn't have him doing the flying of his ship).

What do you guys think?

I would see the computer as part of a large, integrated system rather than an object to steal.

Then Azral would have to be there to help look through it and get all knowledge he can from it about us since Xavier is going to be flying his ship being the second best pilot we've got(Which is a very sad notion)

Also we need to be ready for a fight, remember at least one combat capable Mercenary got away from us, and we don't know about the Pilot. We're gonna want to take those guys down as well.

Rianna, Rand, and Relle might be needed to take care of that.

Ush would the Mercenaries' ship have a navigation log that we will need to erase?

Also anyone with Intrusion(That's the relevant skill right?) should help us with our costumes and such to help give us an added layer of of undetectable before heading to the Casino.

It's Savoir-Faire to fit in; Intrusion to not be seen.

The mercenaries' ship log- and indeed, the two remaining mercs- are bad news but really an issue beyond your control now. If they aren't here. there's not much to be done about it.

Rand has a sneaking suspicion that they will be around.

Xavier, Con, and Galder being our pilots was what Rand had in mind. Rand will want Azarl nearby for a few reasons, but most importantly because he has Fix-It and will be one of the gambler piggy-backers.

So that makes Azarl our man (bug?) for shutting down the defenses and wiping info about us from Merik's computers and tracing communications between him and whoever set us up.

Everyone that isn't our pilots will be going up to Merik's floor once we gain access. We will need to neutralize his personnel and get Azarl access to the security system while putting Merik in our custody.

Then our pilots arrive and pick us up. Con and Galder fly interference while Xavier carries us away.

It also occurs to me that we'll have two pilots (Gallador and Azarl) in our Merik floor group so if we find out that Merik has a ship we can steal, or if the mercenaries have their ship in the tower, we can still fly out on our own too.

Flying away is probably what his escape route would be, if he has one.
