Yes, I'll give it a go.

What are they asking? Whether or not she's with me?

Yes, which considering your extreme nature is not as straightforward as it may otherwise be.

Rand- you've picked up a well-dressed looking gran, who looks the part but is either rubbish or having a bad night. He's certainly losing a lot of chips.

"They had to've been given a lead, then," Galder says to Ascar, irritated. "Any indication that Agent S'Nar is in on this? Or that perhaps a certain Lady Adelmo left an anonymous message?"

Rand will approach this gentle-Gran, then, when the gambler has a spare moment and has stepped away from the roulette tables. He keeps his robes wrapped around himself, and his face neutral.

"Hello, sir," Rand greets him. "How is your luck fairing this afternoon?"

Azarl will offer his explanation, though obviously in his chittering language.

"This woman is an associate of mine," Azarl says. "I am not familiar with the Republic, so she helps me. She is not a translator though. Why were they bothering her? Is there a problem?"

(Sorry for my absence, I will post more today.)

"What? You're breaking my concentration!" says the Gran, betting on black and losing. "See?!"

-

Ok, Azarl rides that out pretty well; he just needed a Lying roll to make out Rianna as his helper; the situation was already pretty favourable. Security will let it drop and goes off to have sharp words with the other alien (who was trying to ask Rianna out).

-

"S'Nar isn't on a vessel these days, he's in a planetbound office. He got promoted. He's the person this report was sent to. Is there any reason Adelmo would know you are on Robine? Unless we are assuming she always knows everything, which is often an error."

"Well, did my bodyguard did anything wrong, to be harassed like this? What kind of trouble he has caused? " Asks Gallador in calm but stern voice.

Can I make a savoir-faire roll if semi-criminal types (like, let`s say, Empire of Pity members) could get away with not showing ID in a place like this?

Galder is secretly disappointed that S'Nar isn't in the field. He'll be that much harder to kill for Newhaven...

"I mean, isn't this where she'd expect us to go after the bounty hunters attacked us?" Galder says. "We're being pretty predictable..."

Galder pauses.

"Speaking of predictions, her little fortune-teller is with us. Eller! Adelmo would certainly know everything if we're being spied on."

"Ah, so you are sticking with Adelmo sending the bounty hunters?" says Ascar. "On reflection it might be a trifle odd for her to have ordered them through a proxy. She wouldn't be afraid of you knowing it was her who sent them. Unless it is some silly mind game from her to play with you this way.

"Eller is special. Adelmo is the one her homeworld went crazy about, with the white hair and so on. Some fascinating result of the midichlorians, I'd imagine- a rebirth in the endless cycle of something before. But all Adelmo has is power. It's Eller who has vision, and that makes the real difference. She's no mere spy. If she is with you, she thinks what you are doing can affect something."

-

Gallador- You're in that hazy middle area of civilization where such organisations do have some pull, if not outright power as they do on the fringes. A good enough Lie on that basis will reduce this situation down to s stern talking to to Xavier.

"Oh, I'm terribly sorry," Rand says. "Have your other rounds gone better? I was hoping for some insight from an experienced gambler."

Well, can I at first actually learn what Xavier did wrong?

He got involved in s physical altercation and is refusing to provide any id, which is making the guards very suspicious.

What Ascar says does little to dispel Galder's distrust of Eller.

"I'm not sure what to make of things," Galder admits. "Someone is a step ahead of us. And I HATE that."

Galder sighs.

"When can we expect the Bureau to show on Robine? What have they requisitioned?"

"It's not a requisition; they've not called in any extra forces, so don;t expect an army. It's a well-manned ship though; two Agents in command and several Osokan teams. Oh," he sdds a moment later, "also an extra Tactical Agent- a graduate of the Bureau's new combat programme."

"Tactical Agent?" Galder says. "Want to explain that to me?"

How many Osokans are we talking in 'several teams'?

Azarl will give a courteous thank you.

With Rianna returned to the game table, Azarl will ask her to keep an eye out for any gamblers (who look the part) that are just not having a great day.

However, he needs to figure this out... maybe combining his intuition to NOT bankrupt with actual gambling know-how would be the way to break this game.

And Azarl will keep playing a little, taking advantage of the fact that he occasionally knows when to avoid going over.
