Yeah I noticed.

Xavier would do it but he is about as sneaky as a bull in a china shop 😛

There has to be a way to trick the security cordon aside from turning everything off with the risk of not turning them back on. Is it that they detect the metal or that they detect the power signatures of these things?

They are doing full scans, so read it either way! It;s the power signatures that really give away your sabres. Any solution along this line, though, still comes down to Fix-It!

Is one person able to rig all of them or will it be down to each of us? And will it take a Fix-It roll from each of us to reactivate?

The same person can make all the rolls but the process takes time- which you now know is limited as the Bureau is showing- so more people get it done more quickly. I won't force a roll on the other side, no. Whether it can be re-assembled is all part of the original roll.

Well, Xavier and Azarl are our best Fix-It folks, and they aren't great...

We're better than most uhuh 😛

It'll probably be something we do later after we're set with our gamblers.

Hmm, I see nothing approaching a decision yet...

"No, no, I can do this..." says Breko, "but you are clearly a jinx!" He just lost again.

Well, is there any sign of Eller around? Can Gallador return to the game?

Ush, I think my last post above was ignored.

Since Gallador managed to salvage the situation with the security, I think that he could ask them if they have seen Eller.

"On the contrary," Rand says. "I think I can help you, Breko. I just got a solid win, as you may have seen."

Breko is playing roulette-ish game, right? If Relle will help me by distracting, Rand can manipulate Breko's next bet to get him a good win.

Indeed you possibly can- in fact, as you are not in view playing yourself, you don't even need the distraction; you can make your own Intrusion roll to do it subtly. You do still need to make the Force roll though. Is this the plan?

-

Sorry, Gallador- you;d have to start from scratch with the game, and no sign of Eller, no.

Rand will do just that, then. He's confident in his ability to conceal his talents and mess with the game's results.

What's the difference between picking a player and side-better, Ush? As far as how much money we can make between talents.

Side betters tend to be pretty wild and there are some big wins to be made there; some casinos live or die by side bets on games like this. On the other hand, they aren't actually gaming themselves, so you are taking any element of skill out of the equation.

-

Rand- are you going to help him win any old bet or wait for him tot ry a big score?

Azarl wants to choose a player then. Skill and intuition need to be combined, not just the intuitions of two people (with one being more legit than the other).

Rand will go for something small, just to get the gambler's attention.

"You'll win this one for certain," Rand says to Breko before manipulating the results. "I guarantee it."

And he does! When he eventually makes a small bet, anyway- you guess he's running low on funs. But he's not impressed yet.

"Yeah yeah yeah..." he says, still clearly stressed.

-

A player who is winning or going out fast, Azarl? Plusses and minuses each way.

Can I choose someone who is riding the line, maybe? Not bleeding chips but not getting ahead, just breaking even?

If not, then someone losing.

"Come now, Breko," Rand says, feigning some warmth in his voice. "Your luck is turning around, surely. Make a larger bet..."
