I think I just got it that there's not a tremendous amount of clearance if the elevator comes down, whether by calling it or by dropping it...

I don't think I can Lift myself up the shaft by using the door segment to stand on.

Could I use my lightsaber to cut through part of the wall and drop it down there...?

Time to start looking through your skills to see if you have anything relevant, since jumping isn't an option and I don't see you sabering or using the Force to get out of this.

Unless there's something that gives Rand an easier climb to get ahead of Katai? Trying to hit her with things isn't going to do much, looks like.

Trying to hit her with things works in theory, but not if Rand has to stop to do it, as that removes the point.

Most of my powers require me to stop and focus. Maybe in my Mastery I could drop that door segment and keep on the move?

Otherwise nobody else in attendance has Lifting.

No matter which way we put it, she's coming in above the door segment as that would on;y have moved downwards. None of that is going to help.

And definitely no chance of avoiding the elevator if dropped? No maintenance hatches or alcoves Gallador and I could use?

If there was anything like that, Katai could do it better than you.

It's going to have to be a team effort, really. Rand's too expended to handle this solo.

Could Relle help drop something to slow down Katai while Gallador and Rand work on going up? She is almost as agile as Katai.

Well, minus the gravity-defying powers, she's just as agile.

Relle could try something- I just need a good pitch.

I'm not sure what I could try right away, with Katai coming in right now. Shooting at her isn't going to deter her at all, she's hard to hit.

I don't have anything at hand that I could throw to Rand to pull him up, do I? No length of cord or some wiring in the lift shaft?

No, and in any case he's not THAT bad at climbing- he can climb faster than you could haul him. Just not as fast as Katai.

Well, if you can't think of anything else, then Relle shooting is the best plan you have- hit or not, it slows Katai a whole lore more than doing nothing.

If it slows her then great, blast away. Otherwise my only idea is to act as a fulcrum and slingshot Rand up a little further, if I can get a hold of some whipcord or something.

If any taps help slow her further, then Relle will do that too.

The absolute best would be Covering Fire, of course...

It's on the "to buy" list after this game.

Ok well Rand is going to have one shot to do something ti get clear, so what's his final choice?
