USH'S STAR WARS GAME- CAMPAIGN II EPISODE VI (DARK SIDE)- Enemy

With Relle gunning to cover me and without the ability to fly, I guess I will climb!

You're useless.

Rather than leap to safety, away from Katai, Relle draws the golden pistols she snatched off Merik's bodyguards and sends a shower of purple lasers down at their pursuer.

"Get up here!" Relle shouts at Gallador and Rand. "Faster!"

Ok, Rand desperately tries to scrabble up as Katai emerges into the shaft, instantly taking one of the walls as her floor.

As the exchange of fire begins, though, it's soon clear that Katai is not aiming back at Relle, but at the elevator cable...

She's going to drop the elevator on us all...

If it comes down, is there any chance to get clear?

Relle can get out up top no problem. Gallador will need a roll. You're nowhere near high enough.

Well crap. Any way Relle could activate the emergency brakes on the lift? Or pull off something really impressive like catching the severed cable and holding it up with her impressive strength (that she doesn't have)?

Or just get in the way and deflect her shots, switching to saber.

You'd need Bodyguard to be effective at that.

As far as you are aware, the emergency brakes should kick in by default...

Then she's got a different aim than dropping it, unless she's already sabotaged it in advance.

Let her do it and find out!

NO thank you! Not sure how to stop her though. I wish we could disarm her, she'd be a lot less threatening.

Well that's true for pretty much everyone you meet. Nonetheless, some sort of plan is required.

Rand could obviously catch that with Lifting, but that pins him down considerably. Nobody in the bunch is physically strong enough to hold it up, and nobody has Bodyguard to defend the elevator cable. Relle shooting back isn't slowing her down or stopping her.

There's got to be a way to shut her down but I'm not seeing it for you guys.

Well you'll need to delay it dropping. As Relle noted, the brakes should kick in.

There may be a way for you guys to preemptively engage the brakes. Using the force or maybe fixit or something else.

It's certainly Fix-It to engage with the workings.

None of us have Fix-It, let alone Relle. Could I try just messing with it anyway?

Oh blimey! Messing with it is only likely to break it then.

Your last option, then, is to find a way to make the lift dropping not a lethal thing...

I can easily slow its descent, it just means I do not advance.

Yup so that's no good. Relle is actually by the lift, so the initiative is with her here.

Could Relle feasibly catch the cable once Katai breaks it and hold the lift up? Or at least slow its descent that way?
