"Getting out in the Galaxy certainly shows you a lot," Galder says. "I've never really looked to the Force for answers about what's to come. I'm not exactly inept. Maybe Eller will find what she's looking for by rolling with us. Though I wish she did more than 'see'..."

Galder does heavy finger quotations.

"It's all really vague."

"So, Ascar, do you think that Eller's loyalties may not fully go to Adelmo? She does not seem as subservient to her as other companions of Adelmo.

Adelmo does not seem to be working on solving a prophecy, she believes she knows all the answers, other than perhaps where to find the Syphar N' Kalar, which I think she believes will grant her dominion over the Galaxy to enforce the Harmony..." Gallador gathers his gaze at where Xavier went to seek Eller, then looks back at Ascar intently... wondering what are that man's ultimate intentions.

"Well, 'loyalty' is always a difficult thing to quantify amongst people who seek power. What I would say is that Eller does not seem to be bound into Adelmo's circle- because she needs to be free to perform her own talents; being bound in focusses your life on the leader of the circle, especially the way Adelmo does it.

"Adelmo's purpose in seeking the syphar n kalar is simple. She's going to destroy the threat to Thalos. I would imagine she feels the threat must come from the Republic. The question is abut how much of it she intends to destroy.

"But that reminds me of the second of the two things that might interest you- about Adelmo and the syphar n kalar."

"It's not pieces, it's certainly," says Eller. "Things I need to check."

"What types of things have you been able to check so far? Any truths you could share?"

Xavier thinks for a second and decides one other question to his small list, "When you save Thalos from it's threat what do you plan on doing after that?"

"I don't see past what cannot be seen. As for what knowledge I seek- I am sure you will work it out."

"Sure we will," Xavier responds. He looks out at the window of the planet. It has been so long since he's been here. "Is this your first time visiting Coruscant? Do you have any questions for me about this planet or anything else?"

"I don't know how the Republic could destroy Thalos, lacking any army besides the Jedi Order, and even then, they're no army," Galder says. He shrugs. "In any case, what's that second thing? We know all too well that she's looking for it."

"It's when she started to look for it that is the point. According to the Jedi report, Adelmo became aware of the Syphar n Kalar from the library on Thalos itself. Thalos only ever had brief contact with the Sith; they would have had no reason to categorise some vague Sith mythology."

Galder frowns.

"Which means they had something more concrete that vague bedtime stories," Galder deduces. "Did the Jedi get anything from the Thalossian library?"

"No, Adelmo was quite thorough. But indeed- whatever she saw in that library, it was enough to convince there that it was real."

"Hmm, perhaps Adelmo found something in the library, but the guidance from the Force she received made her certain that she can bet her destiny on Syphar N' Kalar?" Wonders Gallador.

"We have found few rumors about Syphar N'Kalar. Some sources hint it is something any force user can use, others indicate that it "appeared to be human..."

Ush, could you remind me, what have we found after using Kuylen's DNA on that crystal?

Does Eller not have anything she wishes to ask the knowledge bowl that is Xavier? 😛

If not Xavier continues talking to her, "Ascar also mentioned that the reason your people chose to isolate themselves was so they could understand their future in more a controlled area. Is that why you seemingly get frustrated with our situations. It's harder to see with certainty because the scope is larger?"

"I'm asking all these questions because I want to understand you better. You seem passionate and that is something I respect." Xavier

Relle remembers their own puttering around trying to find clues about the Syphar N Kalar and wonders if Adelmo could shed light on what little they know. She also wonders if Ascar himself knows more than he lets on about the subject.

"I wonder what knowledge they had on the subject," Relle says. "I wonder if the Sith used the Syphar N Kalar on Thalos, and so they had a first-hand account of it that Adelmo's made use of in her search for more answers. I wish we could find more instead of play guessing games at getting ahead of her. And now we're sidetracked with whoever is trying to murder us."

I'll have to double check on the DNA thing- I know it is worth SnK clues.

"If it was used on Thalos," says Ascar, "then clearly it is not all it is cracked up to be, seeing as Thalos still stands." "Most interestingly of all, though, the Thalossian academics claim the words themselves come from an ancient language of their planet. 'The End of the World'. They use it metaphorically, though know it is becoming literal. It is Syphar n Kalar that they fear is coming."

"Ascar talks a lot," is all Eller says.

"Do you think I'm talking too much?" Xavier asks wondering if he is starting to get on the Seer's nerves.

Relle contemplates that.

"Has the phrase always factored into their debate over prophecy?" Relle says. "Or just now that Adelmo's trying to bring it about? Or find it? Or whatever..."

Ascar doesn't remember it being used in regards to the prophecy- it was apparently just an ancient expression.

"But it does seem to have certain relevance now."

Rand has quietly listened to all that has been said about the Syphar N Kalar and Adelmo's history. Somehow, the knowledge that Ascar has opted to share with them has not satisfied him. He wants to know more, as is his tendency.

"It sounds as though Lady Adelmo found myths of the Syphar N Kalar in the same way that Kuylen found myths of Avalar and Zeiton. While simply seeking knowledge. Hmm."

Rand will press Ascar regarding the Harmony and if the shrewd and well-traveled man could begin to teach Rand how to counter Adelmo's abilities, unless he has more to tell about Adelmo and the Syphar N Kalar.
