Sorry, folks, that one day delay for Peach to make her choice then collided with another busy period for me... gah...
Droidekas fire! Bonus attack is on Rianna, which suits all well as she is completely missed.
Azarl gets a whole load of 5s aimed at him, which is making Coordination pay off well. Galder gets more 6s, but the damage is light with that tap.
Rianna is into the attack! Her tap gives her nine successes; forcing it through the shield makes that 'only' six and that';s a total of twelve damage, utterly ignoring the Droideka armour. Vic then makes his throw. He's on eight dice and Force Attacks normally need 5s to hit, but not from a Revenant, who only needs fours! He rolls four successes which gets reduced by the shioeld to one... just a bit! And even a single success hit with a lightsabre is a hard hit; that's seven damage on the droideka that Rianna hit, and it collapses to the ground.

Gallador, you arrive at the generator area! No-one you can see in the immediate area, but your danger senses are more tuned to the device that has been affixed to its side.

Vic- your damage taken was actually not unreasonable for a straight charge at a heavily defended line- in fact, the droidekas have rolled poorly and it could easily have been more (base damage for Droidekas is 4). You are learning here what just about everyone else has had to learn the hard way- charges into gunfire lines invite a LOT of damage unless you take specific defensive steps to prevent it. Note how everyone else was posting about their defensive means!
Also note that there was not much help for Vic around before he got shot up! That's the Dark Side for you- learn quickly or die...
-
Relle- yes you could find cover, and with that in mind I rolled initiative this turn and you guys lost it, so it made no difference for the turn just gone.
-
Eller is indeed in the base, in her room.
-
Xavier- no issues with the systems you can find.
Azarl is going to move to cover Rianna after her successful attack, allowing her to regain her footing and posture. Azarl swings his blade in wide arcs to deflect fire from both of them.
Once Rianna is ready, Azarl indicates Droideka B and brings his lightsaber down across its shield to weaken it. He leaves it open to Rianna for the kill.
Tap Charge if initiative goes against them and it leaves Rianna unprotected. If Rianna is protected regardless of initiative, don't tap.
Azarl will also spend a point on Evade to protect him and Rianna.
And Rianna should bring in Forward Guard to make this a piece of cake.
Galder will attack Droideka C and tap Focused Guard. Nominate one of the Droidekas shooting at him as the Focus to make it miss.
Swap Impervious out for Cleave (just because).

Vic, looks like you didn't move in with us. I say either move in and get to cover, or get to cover and do another throw of your saber at a target.
Bah, you mean I don't passively block incoming laser fire by virtue of having my lightsaber out? Live and let learn I guess.
Is there any drawbacks or limitations to using an Advanced move like Advanced Saber throw? Also, how well does Reflection work against Dekas? Redirecting laser blasts at shields doesn't seem very effective.
I'll await answers before emoting my next moves.
Yes you do- that's what your Guard was. Try that charge without a sabre defence and you'd take closer to sixty damage than 16 (an exaggeration, but you'd be taking about double). But if you want to come out close to unscathed, you need to do more.
Reflection is useless against droidekas- as seen in TPM, their shields absorb their own gunfire.
No disadvantage to Advanced Sabre Throw- it replaces the basic variant.
Xavier will try and contact Eller to see what she is up to also Dak?
He also ask Gallador what is going on. I have a feeling someone with Fix-It should have gone with him.
I guess Con is on the way so it's not that big of a deal since he does have fix-it.
Can Xavier see the group's charge on the scanners?
Also using his Fix-It score Xavier wants to determine what exactly are his options from the control room, what can he do with them in terms of actions?
Vic- what Ush means by that is, taking some sort of action to be more defensive. For example, if you have any passive Force powers like Coordination that make you harder to hit. Or you could spend a Force point on a power that does the same. Or tapping your Guard or another defensive Blade Schtick. Or just taking cover behind a rock.
Ok, cool, well, Swap out reflection for Block, but I'm unsure if I want the defense or the armor buff more. SUGGESTIONS FOR THE NUB?
Could I use force power Fling to pick up a Deka ad chuck him off the cliff? :V
Or maybe grip to try and crush one? Or would my overall damage be better off just sticking to another saber throw? :B
Gallador will send several Epireans around to look around for the hunters presence. Do I have at least Torvus to help coordinate them?
"Xavier, the base has been already infilltrated, there is some kind of device affixed to the shield generator, I don`t know much about these things!. Are you monitoring the base systems? You should send someone technical minded here."
Indeed, he cannot do anything without Fix-It?

Grips are slow and vulnerable to being shut off by, say, you being shot.
Deployed droidekas are stable and would get innate resistance to a Fling, and nor are there any insta-kill moves. Nonetheless, if you rolled well enough to knock it over, it would be very disadvantaged and unable to fire for some turns.
Bit of an opinion-based question, that. Armour applies in full to every hit you take (armour-ignoring attacks are relatively rare) rare whilst Defence 'only' reduces chances of enemy attacks rolling successes. Of course, this may mean they miss entirely.
Generally speaking, high armour scores are very useful against large numbers of weaker enemies because if you are going to get hit lots, mitigating the damage works very well. If you are getting hit three times a turn, two points of armour makes a large difference very fast; after five turns that's 18 hits saved.
Whilst when in a one-on-one against a powerful foe, the armour is only going to apply once per turn and it's probably better to have a high defence to lower his dice pool, especially as he may have schticks that rely on rolling certain number combinations which are far more likely to happen with a high pool (e.g. the double six for a stun when using Focussed Blow).
But in a pool-based game it's not quite that simple- the closer an enemy's pool is to zero, the more dramatic a difference defence makes. Reducing a pool from 10 to 7 is useful but not decisive. Reducing it from 6 to 3 makes a huge difference, statistically speaking. So sometimes Defence can make the larger difference anyway.
Don't under-estimate a disable. You are unlikely to kill a droideka in one blow with a sabre throw, whilst the disable may pull off immediately, and your friends may appreciate the reduced enemy firepower.
-
And just to check again- I don't have you down as having block. Can you confirm what your blade schticks are?
My "vanilla" shcticks are orthodox guard, perfect strike and reflection. I want to trade out Reflection for Block. I think I'll go for the armor buff so the dekas don't shoot me into cheese quite so badly.
Also, disables are nice, but we're all focusing out attacks on one Deka at a time, which looks like it'll destroy them easily... but with all out concentrated attacks, it might be overkill. Hmm. Maybe I will try to knock one over... preferrably from behind a rock.
