Didn't Zimmerman actually call him a ******? And was shown to have a "secret" myspace page showcasing blatant racism?
After the DoJ found no evidence of racism, I find that piece of evidence convenient. Meanwhile, I wouldn't go as far as calling that racist either.

In case anyone tried to challenge the whole "fox news is biased" assertion. Right from CNN. Strange that this "racist" evidence isn't top news on CNN, MSNBC, or FoxNews.

I guess if I offered up what you call an "argument", I would spare myself the embarrassment and use the ignore function too.
Better yet chuckles, go ahead and use the ignore function for anyone who disagrees with your delicate sensibilities, you special snowflake you.

Last I heard the DoJ was still investigating. Is their report out?
From what I keep reading on the three major news stations, they haven't found anything equating to racism. Go figure.
To clarify, I have nothing invested in this case, I don't know George Zimmerman, don't care about him. But it amazes me how many people start making up their minds with no evidence whatsoever supporting their rationalizations. I based my thinking on the merits of this case and nothing else. How much do you want to wager that 99% of the protesters did not watch enough of the case to judge the facts, or had their minds made up from the start? Makes me weep for humanity.
This was a very unique case in the fact that no matter what the verdict was going to be, justice was not going to be done. Zimmerman walks, Trayvon is dead, only his family pays the price. Conversely, Zimmerman gets a manslaughter charge that by itself, may have been warranted but because of Florida's felony gun statute, would have given him 25-30 years in prison and justice wouldn't be done here either. So to me that it's ironic that justice wasn't going to be done in either case, yet the system worked like it was supposed to.. Very ironic.

The people who have not investigated haven't found anything? I wonder what could cause that. hmm
The Justice Department was running into immediate hurdles Monday in its investigation of possible civil rights violations by George Zimmerman in the shooting death of Trayvon Martin -- namely, that after examining the case for more than a year, the evidence has not changed.
Yea you're right. Nobody has investigated anything. 😂

I would love to hear someone else's take on the actual case and what it is they were unsatisfied with, and where the gross injustice was? Again people, not your emotional outburst (we all thought it was a tragedy), but opinion based on facts and legal standing.
The jury ruled what I think was correctly. Nothing criminal happened based on the Florida laws. I still think Zimmerman, as that juror put it, used poor judgement. I think everyone that frequently participates in this thread has said, at one point or another, something to the effect of Zimmerman needing to settle his overly zealous ass down and listen to the 911 dispatcher.

I could agree that his judgement wasn't the best but it wasn't enough to be negligent.

You should go to the Something Awful forums thread.
The Hitler card was played. 😄
They have some good points though:
'He was walking home in the rain and probably glanced idly around himself as anyone would do. No information has come out that I am aware of that he did anything that remotely resembled actually casing a house. We just have Zimmerman's word that he was "suspicious". Why was he assumed to be on drugs? We know that he actually didn't have more than trace amounts of weed in his system from usage likely days before. Zimmerman couldn't even distinguish his features except that he had a hoodie (it was raining) and he was black. He doesn't need to blurt out that Martin is black immediately for it to be involved in his thought process.
Do you see why people assume Zimmerman is racist? Why the hell would you randomly assume someone is up to no good and on drugs when they are just going about their day like a normal person? Half of the arguments about privilege in this thread seem to stem from the fact that people accept garbage reasoning like this automatically.'
Finally:
This is now the only version of the case that matters.
