I agree with this an I never denied it. My main point was "he was amped".

Superman was weakened to the point that he was nearly human before receiving that amp. If anything, that amp took him back to his true power level.

😂Once again, read the damn comic. Jor-el was speculating and stated that he doesn't have sufficient data to say what would happen. As superman and supergirl both showed no sign of power level they normally can't do, its automatically false.
So is that the reason why Bizarro under the same light could build a planet with his telescopic vision due to his Kryptonian DNA? Yeah Fing right. Superman was amped.
Superman and Doomsday were fighting in super speed during much of DOS.
When Doomsday came out of the water, a helicopter commenced firing hellfire missles at DD. Before they knew it, He was up in the air and had already split their helicopter in half, and Superman grabbed the missle and helped it hit it's target by throwing it at DD. Then as DD was in freefall, Superman grabbed the other missles and the pilots before DD hit the ground. How fast must Doomsday have leapt?
I'm looking through my issues of DOS, and it's not just Superman and Booster.
Guy Gardner:
"So fast I didn't even see him mo--"
Maxima thew a punch at DD that he dodged:
"How could he move so fast?"
"He'll not catch me by surprise-- again-- 'oof'" as she get taken by surprise again, lol.
Here's a Superman quote I do want to bring up though, lol: "There's a frightening thought. Lobo's given me a hard time more than once... but Lobo's power, his rage, doesn't begin to compare to Doomsdays!"
Random Person in a store: "I... I think the red an blue blur is Superman. I don't wanna know what the other thing is!"
Ok, here's another Superman Quote: "Sixty miles might as well be sixty paces to this monster."
Daily Planet Pilot: "Negative, Fran. The Planet's chopper is chasing Doomsday as fast as it can..."
"Earth's mightiest heroes have already fallen under Doomsday's murderous blitzkrieg"
Superman: "Have to move faster -- match Doomsday's speed... or I'm done!"
Metropolis fighter: "I want to keep firing but it's impossible! They're moving too fast!"
The author's intentions are extremely clear. If you want to keep your head in the sand and stay in denial, that's your choice. It still doesn't change the fact that you're wrong.

Quote the correct post next time...the quote you posted involves Superman and Lobo encounter when he was punched to the moon.

Galan...he was weakened...very weak and would have died in a panel if he faced Doomsday without those amps. It's pretty obvious it took him back to his previous power level and from his appearance durability wise, how easily Doomsday was able to hurt him, its debatable if it even took him back to his original power levels if you base it off of their previous and battles after that.

This is a tough one. Doomsday does not possess anything to exploit like the Hulk or Superman would have if they faced off against the Silver Surfer. To get a clear perspective of the winner, this one would have to be broken down carefully weighing both characters best showings, and capabilities.
On Doomsday's resume
1. Doomsday can adapt nearly on the fly, as seen during his DOS rampage. Superman even states in question whether or not Doomsday may have even began to increase in strength.
2. Doomsday has tremendous burst speed potential as also seen on panel.
3. Pain barely registers on Doomsday, and on panel evidence shows this. From taking big hits from Superman, to taking a suspect and unknown blast from Darkseid's Omega beam assault.
4. Doomsday can leap to the point of flight.
5. It is uncertain whether or not the Silver Surfer could exploit Doomsday as I pointed out earlier, because i am not entirely certain if he is powered by the same source that beings like the Hulk and Superman are.
On Surfers resume
1. Norrin can move at speeds capable of allowing him to travel back in time.
2. Fly through asteroid fields at greater than light speeds while avoiding impact.
3. Transmute matter, and synthesize energy to amplify his base stats.
4. Create black holes.
5. If the Surfer can replicate the feat that his Exiles version did, he could use his board as a very deadly weapon, capable of striking an opponent at speeds faster than light, and return to him in an instant.
---------------------
My opinion of this fight would depend on whether Doomsday would be capable of grabbing the Surfer and beating him into a KO'd condition, before the Surfer managed to see his approach, and effectively dodge Doomsday.
If Doomsday made this physical, I could see him beating the Surfer into a coma, but if the Surfer manages to keep his distance, and fight with a brain, Doomsday loses this very quickly.

nice. i really didn't want to go through the whole arc but you're right, all those comments simply can't be ignored or written off. to do so is just willful ignorance imo. 😬

Lulz, you responded to galan saying that superman was nearly dying when MB amped him.
Lol at you ignoring what was said on panel. It's pretty obvious Superman AND Bizarro was amped.
SMH...I already told Galan that I could be wrong since I haven't ready the comic in almost 10+ years. Stop trying to showcase. I will reread the issue, if I see anything proving my point, I will post scans.
Now lol at your entire post.

Lol...blue sunlight enhance his ability.
As for the debate at hand...first, Superman was even hit by the attack, he was hit by the shockwaves. Second, the scan clearly states he made the story up for ma Kent.
What does the flashback of the 50 supernovas have to do with the blue sun??? Did I miss something?

Oh I see, Superman was not hit by the explosion of 50 Supernovas while weakened, hell no, IMO He will have been roasted by it, He was only hit by the electromagnetic shock wave of an explosion equal to 50 super novas, you know the SINGLE electromagnetic shock wave of a Supernova can collapse a star?

This thread is an interesting, albeit, chaotic, read.I personally think Surfer could take a majority unless people believe Doomsday could evolve into a form which wasn't matter or energy.
Well Surfer doesn't have complete omnipotent control over matter and energy or otherwise he can turn Thor, Galactus, WWH, etc. into tables. If DD isn't already completely immune to Surfer's transmutation and other blast abilities then he will quickly evolve to be.
Minus bfr, I really don't see much Surfer can do to DD. IMO, I view DD as durable as Thanos (energy blast wise) and can get more durable as the fight goes on due to adapting ability.

There's also the point, that, at least in my opinion, Doomsday is supposed to be, by his very creation, the creature that can kill Superman. If he was so slow that Superman couldn't be touched by him if he didn't want to, what would be the point?

Superman and Bizarro aren't amped by the same power sources. This should be obvious to you.

And for other people, so can Flash's, Superman's and Surfer's far superior and measurable combat superspeed feats that don't even rely on character statements.
If you can keep your premises straight, nobody's ignoring anything. Doomsday's fast. He isn't Flash-fast, Superman-fast or Hulk-fast+++++. He's got the same character statements General, Lobo, <insert random superbrick> that has romped through teams.

Has Hulk had near as many comments in a single story arc? Can I see some scans? Can I also see some scans of Silver Surfer's combat speed feats?
I pointed out that DOS was Doomsday's debut because the story was establishing the character. The references were made because no one knew who he was or what kind of powers/abilities he had. It's obvious that he's faster than just another brick. The story clearly speaks it and it's within the fights. Just because the artwork isn't doing the fight proper justice doesn't take away from what's happening.

Lois was able to see the entire fight (during the time they were in Metropolis) all the way down to the last punch. I don't think they were fighting at super speed.
