When you think about it, that's not completely necessary. You're only drafting 1 character. Sure, knowing who your opponent has and what their weaknesses are can help. But it's not necessary to compete and win. The first tourney I competed in, I didn't know my OWN team's abilities (I had Loki, and was going entirely off a handbook listing of powers). And I made it to the semis off of BS and luck.
Just grab your favorite fan-crush and have at it. The best learning is on the fly anyway.

You also started in a period where BS was the norm and scans were rarely used 😂
But 👆. We have respect threads that can give you a decent amount of scans for any character you pick - and if not, you can ask people you know to be fans for scans or at the very least issues to look into.

The title belt match also takes me to 20-9 lifetime, or 14-9 depending on whether or not an old FFA match is included (I beat 6 others in a non-traditional 7-way match. But it was for a rebirth into the tourney proper, so it was actually contested by all).
I need to figure out who I beat the most. I've undoubtedly lost the most to Blair.

Those are always the hardest, imo, to do tournaments for. Or at least it has seemed that way from past experience.
I personally would never enter one. I don't know much about the level outside of Batman and debating that level has never interested me.
I might enter a Meta or Herald match though.

Right now, the specific tiers I'm looking at would be Mid-Street and High Street. Obviously, I'd bow out of judging - or would I? 😈 - for the sake of fairness, but the trick is finding a guy who wouldn't be a one hitter quitter. Retaining the belt seems much more difficult than winning it in the first place, imo.

Hey all, just checking in. I'll still be mostly out of contact for a week or so.
Congrats Digi! I envy the opportunity to argue for Luke, but I wouldn't know where to begin so kudos for successfully opening that door.
Do I have pending challengers? I'd look to challenge for Low Herald or Low Meta if not.
I'm also wary that this would be opening quite the can of worms and not something we may be capable of supporting at the mo' but if there were ever an amalgam belt at any level, I'd put my name in the hat.
