It was very specifically phoenix who destroyed the planet.
To me it makes no sense why the Phoenix would run from Mjolnir at that moment. Thats why I questioned it. At one point I took it as Mjolnir flying through the Phoenix which was the streak going to the planet. Either way Thor should be able to bust a planet.

I've seen people interpret that as thor instaKOing the PF too hahait just ignored thor and went about destroying and reseeding that planet like it was doing to all others. thor who was tring to stop it, obviously failed.
"Yeah, the idea was here's was basically Phoenix versus a god, which, you know, seems like a fair fight. So Thor went and smacked the Phoenix so hard that he knocked the bird out. [Laughs] He thinks he won, but it lands on another planet and then all of a sudden the planet lights up and the Phoenix consumes it. At that point Thor realizes he's screwed, and we realize not even a god can stop it."
That's what happened.

😆Why? Because everyone else interpreted it as exactly what it was: Thor knocking the Phoenix into the planet, the Phoenix annihilating said planet before phucking up Thor? Or does this have something to do with Hicman? hm
Thats why I said nonsensical because it should have just koed Thor like it had done all those other times. Why was the urge to go ignite a planet so great at that moment? I pay Hickman no attention as far as comments go until arcs are over with.
