Which is better: Avengers or The Dark Knight?

.Batman spent half the movie with his back broken.

Not in TDK.

Anyway, now that time has passed since the release of The Avengers, I definitely think TDK is the far superior movie.

That is just your opinion. Mine is different. Avengers is more successful. Fact.

Its easy to be successful when you have five two-hour-long previews over a couple years to hype it up...

Not at all. It was a great movie which slaughtered any single Batman film. Superior. Marvel is on another level than dc.

Only if you watched all the solo movies. They didn't have to bother with any of that pesky back story or character development. They just went right for the action and the scientists banter.

I'm not saying that the dark knight is better, just that avengers had WAAAYYYY more build up.

Dark knight was a sequel as well. Sorry, that marvel is leaps and bounds better than dc at building momentum.

A sequel with a new villain, a new hero/villain, and went further into the main character. Did avengers advance any sort of character arc? Really?

It was the worst of the trilogy. Making these heroes come together was unforgettable whereas TwoFace and the Joker were disappointing.

You thought joker was boring?

How did avengers advance any of the characters? Did we learn ANYTHING new about them?

Yes.

The manner in which they came to work together was breathtaking. Dc needs to take notes.

Scientists share science, cap don't like stark, and hawkeye may or may not have got an arrow in black widow 's quiver. Riveting

Made more money than any Batman films. 🙂

In six movies.

So Fight Club was made 9 years BEFORE TDK but you're saying that Pit ripped off Ledger's performance...

Where's the logic in your reasoning?

You're not that dumb, are you? 😐

If you read Dadude's post, he was implying that Brad copied Ledger.

Oh snap.

K. Well, you clearly have it backwards. It looks like Ledger got inspiration from Pitt.

No, Ledger confirmed in a recent interview that Brad Pitt asked him for advice on how to pull off a manic laugh for his (then) upcoming Fight Club documentary. Your misinterpretation had it right the first time, DDM.

Yeah kind of like it's just your opinion that Khan beats Yoda in a fight.

But your outvoted 46-3 which is the only FACT.

And btw if you account for inflation and 3d ticket sales, I'm not sure there is much difference in the financial success of TDK and Avengers.

Except Batman did so on his own. So perhaps Marvel are the ones who should be taking notes mhmm

Please tell me you're joking. Please tell me that even you can't be this far gone into the world of tooney loons....Ugh, who am I kidding, you were deep in that territory the moment you were born. 😘

the more nuanced, complex, grittier, dirtier, Dark Knight for its story, pacing, character development, and acting performances (Katie Holmes aside).

lol seriously?

What? You think Avengers was better written and acted?
