STAR WARS: RETROSPECTION- Initiation

Nope! You did not remain in the water long enough for serious harm to come from the fish, nor did Vash actually shoot you.

Oh goodie.

Well Rianna's all nice and grouchy and wanting to get the hell out of there. Also quite cold from that brief swim.

Rand appears to be leading you away from the cliffs, toward a rocky area along the coast.

It's all rocky, though. Everything is eroded rocks, smoothed by the sea and time. Dampness permeates this place.

Is there anything special about this rocky place they're heading towards?

Not that you can tell. It stretches on this way for miles until some apparently forested area in the distance.

"What now, Rand?" Rianna asks, both warily and wearily.

"Dontos is home to all sorts of secrets," Rand says. "Though nothing that would further our strength in the Dark Side. It does have its uses, still."

You almost fall into the mouth of the cave before Rand stops you with a hand. It was hidden among the rocks, impossible to see unless you knew where you it was.

"We go in," Rand says.

Rianna's going to start using her senses to keep better track of her surroundings...

"What's down there?"

Vash looks at the cave, then Rand.

"Our humble abode," Rand says. "The fortress on the cliffs is too unstable, and too obvious a hiding place. We will rest in here."

"Why don't we just stay on the ship?" Vash asks.

"You'll see," Rand says, before dropping into the darkness, his cloak swishing behind him. You hear him land a very short distance down, and see his pale face upturned into the dim light toward you.

"Come on," he calls.

"A small cave barely underground is more stable than that fortrss?" Rianna asks, unbelieving.

She'll hop down, though.

You drop down into the cave, and notice that it leads off in several directions via smaller tunnels.

"This way," Rand says, once Vash has joined you.

"Where are you leading us now?"

Rand guides you through the network of caves without answer. He ignites his lightsaber for some limited light, filling the tunnel with its sanguine glow. The walls are damp and mossy, like this entire world.

You quickly decide that you would have gotten lost long ago. Rand seems to know where he is going.

That fact doesn't comfort Rianna any, as she'll never be able to make her way out of here on her own...and in fact she half-expects that he'll try to make her do so.

Wouldn't that be fun?

You hear running water coming from one of the caves; Rand chooses that one. A few steps in, your feet meet with a metal walkway that passes over a subterranean river.

The enormous cavern beyond it is with bio-luminescent moss that has crept along the stone walls. It is no less damp and slimy in here than anywhere else, yet there are some light furnishings and belongings about the place.

Oh, and there is a fully operational medical facility in here!

Oh that's handy...

"Why is all this even down here?" Rianna asks. "Did you do this, Rand, or did you 'scavenge' it from someone else?"

Rand ignores the question.

"Dead worlds that only exist in myth make excellent hideaways," Rand explains. "Here, you can recover without any disturbance. While my contacts in the Tapani sector will keep their silence, I cannot ever guarantee that every single inhabitant of the sector will do the same. I don't have that power; nobody does.

"Nobody will come looking for us here, and you can earn your health back."

For tapping into the Dark Side and crossing the bay, Rand is willing to treat some of your injuries.

You can either:

a) Have some damage removed

or

b) Improve a stat (that isn't Agility)

Why not Agility? 😛

She'll improve Strength, as doing so will effectively remove damage by increasing her limit.

Because Rand is familiar with how you fight.

Rand will assist you, then. In order to put strength back in your body, it will not be a simple bath in the bacta tank; Rand has to perform some sort of acupuncture treatment to invigorate you.

"It will be painful," Rand warns.

That cheating bastard.

Well, she doesn't like the sound of that, but she's also rather tired of feeling so weak and out of sorts.

"And I assume there's no easier way...that you're willing to do, anyway," Rianna says. "Let's get it over with then..."
