Nah, even if he had his resources and knowledge of DH1, he still is going to get freaked by Bane. Bane is on a completely different level than Hans.

1) McClane gets a gun from one of Bane's henchmen (as he did in DH1)

2) McClane shots Bane right in the face through his mask, as he has no problem killing

3) McClane adds quick quip

4) Roll Credits

No, the mythical "McClane Factor" will come in and make the roof collapse on Bane at the last second, since that's the only way McClane will get a win here 😆

Maybe....or maybe McClane's Beretta (standard Die Hard 1 gear that he starts the movie with) delivers a 9mm round between Bane's eyes?
Bane is actually fighting someone here who is allowed to and can kill.

He endures because his opponents are idiots who won't finish him off, or he is BFRed. You have yet to show McClane outfighting anybody in pure H2H

Only thing getting freaked is McClane's spine when Bane breaks it

Only thing being freaked is Bane's brains once splattered all over Nakatomi Plaza's walls.

Because it was exactly that oh-so-simple when McClane took on Hans, a far lesser criminal mastermind in comparison to Bane 🙄

It will be once the OP's intent on Bane fighting McClane first comes into effect.

But McClane is fighting someone here who is intelligent enough to do patdowns. Remember when they held up the Stock Exchange? They are far more comptent than the Hans Brigade

Watch the movie called Die Hard, you'll see that the Hans character you mention was a very smart man.

Are you saying he was smarter than Bane?

.....what real feat of "uber" intelligence did bane have? In TDKR I entirely interpreted the plan as Talias and Bane was her solider.

Certainly!

Bane was just the lapdog of Talia. Bane was nothing more than a dog of war.

Bane wasn't a mastermind, Talia was. He was the muscle. McClane did get a gun in DH from the henchmen.

Sorry, just going to have to deal that Bane goes down to a single bullet. I know he's the new shiny, but deal

Then you interpreted it wrong. Bane and Talia were equals. Hence, why Bane chooses to ignore her "order". Bane was in charge of the military conquest and Talia was in charge of the economic. There is no reason to believe she was telling Bane what to do.

...............

The Joker was better 😐

lolz the final order was only once in the act of finality. Where the plan no longer had any consequence.

except for when she gives him orders on screen....

And he ignores it... So much for her "order".

just because he ignores it doesn't make it any less an order you do realize that right? So ignoring the order or not she was clearly giving him an order. He was nothing more then her solider. If I join the army and ignore an order from the ranking officer doesn't make me his partner.......

I still have a hard time believing that Hans is more intelligent than Bane
