This entire argument assumes that McClane CAN nutshot and throat punch Bane. How in God's name is he going to do that, exactly? Bane's speed, durability, and strength is far more than McClane can handle.
What's stopping Bane from cracking his neck, then?

A "smashed up old man" whose bionics allowed him to crush concrete with a simple kick, and an old man who took out some of the world's most professional assassins. We went over that.

This was McClane in the Diehard scenario with Bane and his men in place of Hans and his.

Since McClane clearly decimates a Die Hard scenario, it's now Gimped McClane Vs Bane and McClane is only allowed to use his fist, ie double-gimping McClane to ensure his chances of winning are slim.

Clearly the pro McClane people aren't the ones that are crying, it's all you Bane bitches that have to have your new-shiny win, so the thread is modified. Ninjak had it correct with the first response post; the Bane-has-to-win crying came after. Them the facts.

If that was done to give Bane a chance then that was an admission that McClane stomps. This is why this should have, by rights, ended on page 1.

After all of the things shown in the DH movies that would have broken any normal cop's neck, that fialed to even scratch McClane's what makes you think that Bane could do it?
He survived all his shit without bionics, without breathing armour without anything.

Did Bane use guns in TDKR? I don't recall ever seeing him use one, can you name a scene where he did? How good was he with a gun, cos McClane's pretty good; he has four movies worth of gun feats.

Considering McClane's the one that needs to be gimped here, looks like it is.

Whatever, I think Bane's strategies, shown mastery of military tactics, and extremely loyal and kamikaze-level men show a threat that McClane could not be prepared for at any point in a Die Hard scenario. But if that's not enough for the argument of "Well, it's John McClane," then good job, you win.

The OP specifically stated that Bane is, in fact, taking the fight directly to McClane, one on one, then made an addendum, in only the third post, that he intended this to be a fistfight, rather than Bane trying to fistfight a man with a loaded weapon.
