I think that, because Carver is used to debating Hulk and Hulk alone in most threads, he's forgotten that Hulk has another powerful ally in this matchup. Were this only Hulk alone with SBP, stuck on Earth with lots of civilian innocents around, I'd probably give Superboy Prime the nod, too. For that state of affairs would prevent him from going World Breaker and getting the decisive strength advantage over Prime.
But Hulk isn't alone here.
There's also THIS guy, who apparently has the ability to push his limits to a higher level when the situation demands ...

Thanks.
Say, Jug, any chance you've got Marvel Team Up #116?
It's entitled Spider-man versus Valkyrie or some such.
There, Valkyrie, a member of the Defenders, gets her sword possessed somehow. The weapon mind controls her until, in battle with Spider-man, Petey manages to take it from her hands, whereupon, not boethering to try to possess HIM, the weapon instead attacks him all by itself. Thor, having seen Spider-man engage Valkryie before this, mistakenly thinking was attacking his girl, happens now to be on hand, listens to Spider-man's explanation, smashes Valkyrie's sword with one blow from his hammer, then uses Mjolnir to open a portal into space and swallow the demon(s) that possessed it.
Great example of Thor using Mjolnir-BFR on an otherwise too-dangerous to-handle-by-conventional-means opponent.
Insofar as Thor and Hulk are the only ones who have real business confronting Prime face-to-face, and that the others or other innocents might need saving, it's worthwhile to point out that Thor cannot only send ENEMIES away with Mjolnir, but also friends or those he wants to PROTECT.
From Thor #192, if I have this correct:

I believe his point was that WWH beating pretty much the entire X-Men roster that was present at the time isn't uber impressive. The fact that several of the more powerful ones were not there gives reason to believe that Hulk wouldn't have found the team so easy to overcome had they all been presentAnd you should really read Fear Itself where the X-Men are trying to stop Kuurth. This team is much more powerful that the one that fought WWH and much more organized. WWH would not have survived everything they threw at Kuurth imho
Kuurth seems to be a relatively simple re-telling of the typical X-Men/Juggernaut battle. Just a slightly more "unstoppable" version of him than average. I googled some of the terms you gave me and actually came upon a video with some select scans from the magazine.
Had me wondering:
