Stopping a 1 ton car moving at 5mph is the same as lifting 2 tons.
Link can throw a Goron around that weighs more than 2 tons using his /arm strength/, which unless you can provide a reason that a vertical lift requires the boots..
BUT, if you want to deny it without giving a reason, again, theres also the fact that Link is capable of walking around with Iron Boots on. Iron Boots weigh as much or more than Gorons. Another strength feat above Russell.

Link throws around the Ball and Chain (a 1 meter ball of metal would weigh more than a ton) and knocked a room sized block of ice across the room. A room sized block of ice is obviously heavier than a 1 ton car (600 tons to be precise) so thats another strength feat above Russ.
Talking about gameplay damage like it means anything is pointless (Kratos taking damage from human mooks when he can wrestle with skyscraper tall Titans), so if you reply do me a favour and actually respond to the feats.
